I love the people in Florida, i love the politics in Florida. I love the cost of living in Florida. I love the live-and-let-live mentality of Florida which the west lost about 20 years ago.

But the weather, lack of topography, incessant humidity and rust/mould on everything are driving my mad after 9 years. I need to get back out west when I retire: at least most of the year.

Hah- @Chungas Revenge seems like a pretty tough guy, however this might be a good way to find out where Carol Baskin's husband is hanging out.

LMAO..🤣 Cue the music “Goodbye Earl" by Dixie Chicks”

Mr Lewis had some assistance crossing over the threshold some time ago. If I had to venture a guess, I’d say he’s more than likely fertilizing a stretch of mangrove swamp on the Florida intertidal. Figure the ole’ boy currently sharing a pillow in that lions den sleeps with one eye open. 😳

After some spirited rhetoric on both sides of the aisle, 2.0 is going to winter over in the Land of Nod. The Haus Frau and dictator for life, to my surprise, cast the tie breaker vote. 2.0 will stay in bay #2 on the trickle charger with Garage Buddy (GB) stopping by to circulate the Dino every 10-14 days.

The return of the Queen to FL this winter includes a haul mission, so the Tundra received the marching order. I’m just a working stiff with a truck.

@Catching Neutral As it turns out, it’s a fortuitous nod to your cautionary advice. 😉

Trying to turn the fluids over every 2 weeks or so. After the great dry salt cloud dissipates a little, I’ll run it down to the petrol station for a slushy and some high octane. Hit a five mile loop of interstate. Really open it up, stretch the legs a little. Do a little flirting with 65mph..😉

I am waiting for that same opportunity here…unfortunately the roads are almost white with dry salt. After all of the effort I have into these vehicles, I am not going to risk it. My original 74 was eaten by road salt. It sucks because it just runs so freakin nice..but ⚖️ it out weighs the end result

Kids were home for Christmas and needed my other car. Had to drive on the salt roads the past 2 weeks. They finally left new years and I was out in 24* weather trying to get the truck washed and de-salted.
Salts Gone is the answer for all the nooks and crannies.

Thanks @Jdc1 NEVER heard about this so, I looked it up

They have a ton of decent looking stuff. The only thing i’ve used has been the rinse.

It’s like driving in baby powder residue. I’ve been running the Tundra (DD) through the brushless every couple of days.

Looks/reads like a good product. I’ll give this a shot on the DD. 👍🏻

The map is pretty telling.

You didn't mention locking the fronts every so often. My owner's manual says to lock the fronts and drive it once a month to circulate the grease in the knuckles. Wise?

Absolutely. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve been avoiding the slush and residual salt residue on the roads. We’re supposed to get some rain followed by warmer weather. Shooting for that window of opportunity to get that Full Monty Dino rotation.

Fortunate to have a 3 mile stretch of two lane 35mph winding road that connects to a 5 mile loop of 4 lane. It’s like a Nürburgring for a 40 series. 😎

We had rain yesterday… I’m thinking I’m good.. if I just look around for the cars that are washed over the last few days and find out by Friday that their still clean, I’lI take it out if the weather is dry… like the same gamble on that Freakin’ Groundhog
