@Catching Neutral

Used the way back machine and nicked a pic from @JohnnyC ref: # of corner footman loops on an example FST and the location of the twist locks. Talking with @RevISK IRT his installation, some modification was required, IE lowered the Twist locks on the tub and added an additional twist lock

Any mods required on your installation? 100% certain that mods will be made to account for the Aq tub and the current mods made for the one off HT configuration on 2.0. The “pro’s” in the shop will work out a solution without to much consternation. Just working it through my little Infantry head IOT pass along any lessons learned, tactics or tips.

@Chungas Revenge
4 per side with the TROA.
I drilled almost equidistant top to bottom. This was one of the last things I did.
They could not be any lower or it would difficult to secure them.
You might have more wiggle room with your tub.

Bags are packed and ready.

Timing is everything. The artic blast to the MOV this winter and subsequent snow load kept “Old Geezer Buddy” and I off the hill and off the Grand Meade Hall project. Silver lining: The operational pause pushed 2.0 to the top of batting order. As a result, the team at RCLC tossed open the doors and made room for the full phase II op. 2.0 will see action in the mech shop as well as the body shop. Thought I was going to parcel it out over Spring 25 and winter 26. This is one occasion, where really bad weather truly benefits a 40 series.

I’m inadvertently helping out logistically with the “General” upgrade. Owner Op is dropping off some interior parts for the trek north..such a cool build.

If it all plays out according to plan, PH III will move up to winter 25/26.

Thinking exactly that @MatthewMcD ever since I first saw an ad for one online.

Ms Revenge and I are on the short side of the Celtic gene pool. At a towering 5’9” I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say I’ll be OK. Now the Mrs, she’s 5’3”. Toss on a set of pedicure sandals and she stretches out to at least 5’ 3 1/2” but, she absolutely plays way above her pay grade.

Now, you fellas who are long of limb and wear a size 16W work boot, may have pause for concern..

I’ll post a comprehensive review post install…

Late to the party, and sans pictures, but I’m 6’4” and had no issue at all with leg/knee room with this setup in a previous 40

Can’t wait to get some more progress on the Mule. Lining out to be a great build.

The General has been gently woken up and allowed to rest again until shifter is installed. Seats and console need to be in to set in place. Engine bay is about 90%, plug wires need a final home and to be shortened along with a few extra small tasks.

Think you could siphon off some of that MOPAR BB HP over into 2.0?

SGM Mike is gonna be one happy Muldune…😎

Not sure if you want anything to do with this Nasty Beast getting close to a 40. He is pretty raw.

Last rumination and musing for the day.

Picked up these 4plus jump seat legs. They didn’t make the cut the first go round. They’re going to need a wee bit of tweaking to amend what @Green Bean perfectly described:

“These are Industrial Strength (Mother-in-law rated for load capacity). :) Positive Angle of Repose (the steepest angle at which a sloping surface formed of a particular loose material is stable). Should not have any JSBS (Jump Seat Butt Slippage) in Mule V.2.”

They just need some massaging to add some Negative Angle of Repose.

H-HOUR 1330. Pickup day

Movement plan is going according to schedule.
Owner Op dropped the interior for the General of this AM. Spent a nice morning with him telling deployment lies. I’ll share a pic from one of the stories later.

Spent some time in the storage garage getting everything separated and moved into the BG.
Mule bits for the Mech shop and Body shop are now tagged, staged and ready to load.

Had a Mandela effect moment. I could have sworn the interior in the General was black. :meh:

2.0 slipped the surly bonds of the BG today.

@Jdc1 made the trek south this afternoon an enclosed trailer in tow. While loading up, we had a spirited discussion weighing the pro's and cons of every conceivable power plant/trans/tcase swap available to mere mortal men. This I consider, the “spit in the dirt and draw with a stick” beginnings of the birth of 3.0. What will it be? Tractor engine, better tractor engine, bigger better tractor engine, new and improved great grandson of tractor engine or a foreign usurper? Let the discussions begin.

But this trip wasn’t all about me. He also mesmerized Ms Revenge with tales of grandeur, espousing the benefits of modern EPS and its positive effects regarding paste on acrylic finger nails. Well played J, well played. I think you have stock in Maybelline.

She did bring me an unsolicited Scotch this evening. The gravitational pull has begun. And, as I’ve said before, never interfere with a woman while’s she’s falling in love with a 40 series.

Anyway, 2.0 is in good hands.

I want to see a Cummins 6BT shoe horned under the hood of the Mule!
