I'm watching how this goes.

I got my Aqualu's painted - and will be doing more prep to install when I start taking top and ambu doors off and tackle all the rust.

For sure keep your eye on this. Talking over a solution today. I’d like to ditch the gate pin as well.

When we did our ‘72 build, a new pair of OEM hood hinges from the mother land didn’t pass QC and we ended up sweetening up a set of 50yo hinges.

I remember this episode: “Better than New 72”…😍

I agree that the stock hinges would take some work. Of all the hinges on the 40 series, they have always struck me as the loosest.

Gonna dance with what I brung in this case. Looking ahead at the HT resto.

L/R front door rubber. Trying to manage the “just in time logistics” IOT to have everything ready when it’s go time. Fingers crossed on the inbound package from Columbia. 😁

As requested by the CFO, Hausfrau and dictator for life.

To the land of Nod Via @Racer65, EPS. Should make those tight turns at the nail salon a little less harrowing. I’m just chalking it up to “Our” new found fondness for 2.0..

Thinking exactly that @MatthewMcD ever since I first saw an ad for one online.

Watching with interest. Curious how the leg room under dash is impacted.

Ms Revenge and I are on the short side of the Celtic gene pool. At a towering 5’9” I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say I’ll be OK. Now the Mrs, she’s 5’3”. Toss on a set of pedicure sandals and she stretches out to at least 5’ 3 1/2” but, she absolutely plays way above her pay grade.

Now, you fellas who are long of limb and wear a size 16W work boot, may have pause for concern..

I’ll post a comprehensive review post install…

Irish genes here too, a giant in my village at 5'7". More worried about the knee-well that the motor takes up.

You’ve peaked my curiousity. So, clad in my tartan lounge wear and fuzzy old man house shoes (don’t judge, I’m retired and it’s raining here), I saddled up 2.0 IOT take a couple glamour shots. Now this obviously is about as non-Engineery scientific as you can get but, based on the photos, city racer installation pics (on their inter webs page) and a keen eye for the intangible, I think it’s going to be OK. I may loose the seatbelt/EGR buzzer, not sure.

I will make sure I do a full up Archimedes worthy write up.

In all seriousness, (opinion piece to follow): I went with this because outside of the OE Yota setup, this the least intrusive.

@MatthewMcD

Lots of leg room. Motor swings and can be mounted as high as possible. @Chungas Revenge wont lose the EGR indicator but will be relocated as needed.

2nd opinion from the SR Surgeon. 👍🏻

EGR and associated accoutrements went the way of the great white bufffalo early on. Although, the seatbelt buzzer is somewhat comforting in a mother-in-law nuisance kinda way.

A better pic- my handspan is about 8.5”(no judgement please) and I’m 5’9”.

Perfect… Tucks up nicely. Ms Revenge is going to appreciate the EPS. No more 12 point turns in the parking lot.

No judgment here..🤣

The pic is throwing things off. It disappears with normal use.

There you go…..using the word tuck again. Paging Dr. Freud. 😎
