Then check out the awesome theft deterrent.... I might leave this.

just add padlock...
View attachment 2175431

This is very common down here. I have one in the 40, with a rod that's connected to the firewall. So you padlock both pedals to the rod and that way you can't depress either one of the pedals to drive off.

Other types of theft deterrents include shifter locks, which locks your vehicle in gear (usually reverse), "pedal vaults" which is a thick steel cover that tilts up and locks in place to lock the pedals, and steering arm lock, which locks the steering arm under the driver's side front wheel to the chassis.

You would think in today's society that simply having a manual transmission would be an adequate theft deterrent.

Tried to put the fan shroud in, but it did not fit very well, so I will have to adapt it....

Glad to know you used an 80 series washer pump. That’s what I was hoping as I have a spare.

85310-22080 is the washer number, and partsouq it is $75 to your door. I had several extra ones for free and I recalled a post from @cruiserdan where he mentioned popping any washer onto the new bottle....

Guess it was more than I remembered.

She moves!! Still need to either make the upper part of the fan shroud, or buy a new one..... but I was able to start her up and move it forward and back about 5 feet.. First time it has moved on its own power in about 9 months.... If you go back to post #107 @cruisermatt pointed out that it is more fun to drive them than to wrench on them... how correct you are... much more fun to feel everything work finally.

With that hurdle done, I started working on the exhaust. Mandrel bent stainless.

The rest of the exhaust is in pretty good shape, nice and thick metal, so I will put the bung in for the oxygen sensor, then tie all of this together.

Under closer inspection the old exhaust had some areas where it was crunched when they originally bent it, so I ended up chopping out more of the old exhaust... I also felt it was too close to the emergency brake cable.

I highly recommend the set of tap/die from gearwrench... game changer for tap/die work.

Do you have sealer in the roof rail? I don’t know if it suppose to be there or not.

I'm not sure what you're referring to...
Like a 40 in the drip rail or whatever it’s called. Seems like it is in my old roof but it’s got sealer and fixes all over it so I don’t know what was there from factory. Maybe the 40 fiberglass roof mating with the metal is why it needed seem sealer. New roof just came bare metal.

This was supposed to have a rubber gasket seal that I have ordered and I'm waiting for the package to come from the emirates

4 seals total, right? Going through my stash I have two small side seals and one longer one. I think I’m missing one more.

manual only shows those three. Can you take a close up pic of the sides?
