Like a moth to a light! I couldnt help myself. I had to assemble the bib. New yellow cad, new paint, new chrome.

Looks like we have a good match. Thanks to cruisernerd and foxfab this project made it. Without chroming the emblem we will save around 60 bucks a unit. What you see is polished aluminum. Enjoy!
Now we just need to match the paint and have them produced!

Perhaps the inside of the transmission/tcase was preserved with oil also...
It did look like clear water, not rusty. You are correct the outside of the tranny was well preserved. I found a 1973 dime and glass fuse in the muck! Anyone have the gm gasket rebuild part #. Need to tear this thing down.

Looks like my other motor is toast. Picked this 1 up outta a 64LV. The other motor is a 3fe, im gonna try that swap into my 65 swb.

No no no Its a snowbird truck. That has now retired to N. Florida.View attachment 1364232

Mine had a similar rear bumper (PO Mod) too. This was the first thing I removed back in 2005, still got hole cuts in rear cross member. Luickly an easy fix and PO didn't destroy any factory holes for mounting OEM bumprettes.

Cleaned up the brake master. Utilized the sor kit. The shuttle was to long. Ordered some napa parts from treeroots thread. I think it will work.
