Sorry I missed this, was out at hidden falls yesterday. Where did you end up camping? This heat wave is a mother, was much cooler a week ago down here 
LBJs old ranch outside of Fredericksburg is pretty cool. Beautiful farm.
Bummer just saw the Texas White House is closed along with hangar and his jet that was used. Still some nice things to see like small old school house he taught in.

@tucker74 that day we ended up stopping in Brady. The girls were miserable and I was done driving in the heat. Looked up prices there at hidden falls and ended up saying screw it, a hotel with pool and ac was 100 cheaper than going to play in the heat and then sleep in it so we went that route. Then cruised into kingsland early Saturday went by hoopers. my oldest was super excited about walking thru the house and being in something that she knows from the movie. Then went out to the cemetery by longhorn caverns for a bit and sat. After that stopped by my wife’s brothers for a few he’s in horseshoe bay then continued down to Fredericksburg. Texas was more about seeing friends and family than going to explore. Some states we won’t get to spend the time they deserve but will get them marked off the list for this trip. Already making list and planning future trips to see areas we enjoyed.

Sitting just shy of 4200 miles at the moment 15 states down 35 to go. Alabama Florida tomorrow. Maybe Georgia will see how the day goes. Today’s stops were breakfast in shreeveport Louisiana, up to el dorado Arkansas to walk around town for a bit take some photos let the girls stretch. Then a long run in the rig to Natchez Mississippi for acouple hour tour. Then got a couple more hours in on the road. Making a pit stop in gulf shores Alabama tomorrow as we found a dudes wallet laying in the drunk bumps along a country road in Louisiana so my wife found him thru facebook and returning that on our way to Florida.

Getting closer. Tonight we are in SC. Spent most the day in Jackson Georgia doing all the stranger things movie stuff in town. Then drove up here to have some beers and burgers with an old friend tomorrow I have no clue will look at the map in the morning find something and head that way.What state now

Oklahoma we only hit the pan handle had to be in Texas to visit her family as he only had a few days off work. So had a time restraint on certain things. Last night we shared gator,lobster and shrimp tacos watched the sunset on the gulf in okaloosa island Florida
