I am looking for detailed pics of stock engine compartments. I would like to be able to see where everything belongs in stock form, including stock components as well as the routing of hoses and wires.

Please post up as many pics as necessary and include the build month and year. Include info on any modifications or deviations from stock that you know of.

I hope this will be a valuable reference for us all.

THANKS!

Mark

Here is some fodder to get this started. From my archives... I have no model year details...

Red one: 1979-1980 (according to Spangly)

The first pic (red 40) is a 1979-1980. The three little pics (olive brown) also appear to be from a 1979-1980.

What is the "tell" that these are 79-80 (other than the square bezel on the red one)

Unmodified Blank

If it's of any help, here,s a picture of an unmodified cowl from a 3/76.

Mark,

I agree with Splangy on the first one (red) and the three little pics in the second post (brown). The vacuum operated HAI and temperature sensor on the top of the thermostat are indications.

I think the second pic (brown) is a '77. It looks a lot like mine (vacuum tank on driver's side fender, carb configuration). However, it has CCOT power steering and air conditioning, with extra hoses and wires associated with that, so it's not a perfect example.

I think the third pic (mustard) is a '78. Carb cooling fan mounted on fender, emissions box on driver's fender are indications.
