Yes sir 🙏🏻 We should be good I’ll drive slow and as of this no leak occurred it’s gonna be a nice to see you guys

ummm... like you have a choice? Your driving a Land Cruiser. The speeds are:

Slowest
Slower
Slow <-- Top speed, and you'll need both hands. 😜

So True and with long ranger tank 180L it's heavy you actually see the heaviness on the tires

Made it to Armstrong barely got a lake of power after swift curent .. with the help of @janyyc and his collaborative team 😄 manage to make my way to a shop in Calgary named Pro Active Automobile with a gentleman named Dean who did a diagnostic and we purchased a product called 4plus.ca
Man this thing had me regain all power no lake after a very short run so I pushed to Armstrong and had the sincere pleasure of meeting with @Rigster and today along with Garret we will do some oil change and testing if we replace the injector or not

Made it back home safe

Changed the injector, glow plugs and retaped the front driver shock the bolt was completely unthreaded causing rattling and I have to replace a temporary sway bar bolt replacement in Fort McPherson this road was hard on the truck …

Despite all maintenance done still have trouble starting and a cloud of white smoke + then some bleu ishhh smoke … but he runs way better than before my hill here is no longer a problem

As @Rigster suspected I think I have air in the system or shim valve need to be done … I will try one more time the Extreme Diesel and see but this seem not too go away…

Glad you have made it home safe and sound my friend! This trip definitely has helped you with working out the bugs, helped you with what you love, like, and would like to change or add. A build is a neverending pursuit of improvement and adjustment. Especially when new and innovative products come along.

I look forward to seeing your completed build when you come out this way again! 😜

I am rethinking the water inside the vehicle… the living space is not so big and with roads like the dempster i would imagine the sink would of break 🤪

This gave me a good sens of how much work is needed to complete this Rig 😄🙏🏻

Today, swap the brake booster and master cylinder (2 bolts one) and bleeder the brakes
the Increase is significant very satisfied

Unfortunately the front shock new thread didn’t last long first pot hole everything went flying… need 2 new front shocks and I am also trying to find new fuel lines with Dave but all are delisted

Tommy, I’m delighted to see you in your travels. How does it drive? Mpg? Average cruise speed? It’s so exciting.

I thought I read that you want a sink inside? I installed one in our 80. We love it. My wife can do dishes while we drive. 😂. We have also a water source outside. I plan to do similar build in the troopy. The space on the right is for a built in 44 liter yacht fridge.

Hi Mate,

After 17,000 kilometers on rough roads, I realized that having a sink inside the vehicle wasn’t practical. The constant rattling and potholes, especially on poorly maintained forestry roads, made it risky. Plus, the entry point, a small door at the back, always gets dirty, this meant dirty hands every time we entered.

So, I’ve decided to rethink a faucet outside instead. It’s more convenient since we do most of our activities outside at the entrance , and it keeps the dirt out of the living space.

Don’t get me wrong a sink is ok on normally road 80% of the time but i plan to do more of this road like the one in Brazil 391

Regarding fuel consumption, the truck wasn’t performing well due to clogged injectors, averaging 14.5-15 liters per 100 kilometers. Despite this, it still managed around 1,500 kilometers per 90L, but it should do better. I’ve replaced the injectors now and am hoping for improved efficiency.

I think you should have both. I would attach a fitting on the cabinet facing the rear left door so you can attach the hose for shower or a faucet. I did not see any details photos of the finished interior. I know It's Amir's system but he has a few options.

On a different note, that last cabinet facing the rear left door, I plan to do it shorter or angled looking from the top, so we don't have to open both doors to get in.

Oh, I do understand what you’re saying. However, my cabinets are not finished, but they are produced, and the sink, as you can see in the picture, is on the right side and is right in the middle, so it’s very far away inside. To be honest, I would have flipped the whole setup to the other side if I had done this trip before. So, I would have everything on the left side, on the driver’s side, sink and oven—not oven, but induction plate. So, this is my concern. The sink is in the middle of the truck. It’s a little bit far away. It’s on the right side, so access is difficult. I have to open the big door, which is not the entrance. The entrance is the small door on the left, like you mentioned. So, this is why I’m entertaining the idea of still having my Long Ranger tank underneath the truck, but hooking up the water pump and the heater to it and having two faucets for hot water and cold water outside attached to the frame or something.

Yes, the fact that it is not a tail gate, its different then our setup in the 80. Also, depends on what type of area and weather you camp. I think if you have an awning in the back and a curtain between the two doors, you can have a private protected place and the option do the cooking outside (and also shower). The two trays on the rear doors replace the tail gate, and a second water source coming out where the toilet lives can set you up for option 2 of cooking.

On the toilet note, we use a shovel if we can and if in urban area, we have a collapsible toilet the uses plastic bags. Real estate in here is so precious, that I think the bulky toilet uses too much space for what we use it for...

I'm debating about the design of a console between the two seats. I have a friend that can custom make it from aluminum, but don't want it tall because my wife who does Yoga, moves to the back while we drive to make lunch and also at night before bed time. I also like to come out of bed while she sleeps (not on the popup) and start driving early morning.
