Window regulator. My drivers side is just about done. I found this part number, but not sure it will work with the quarter wing window.
69810-60330 or 69810-60340
manual windows? if so I replaced mine with new, part numbers in my build thread, unfortunately you will have to search for them, since I don't have time

Seems like this should work.

Woke up this morning, started taking the soft top off and then looked under the front right before heading inside.

🤨

Coolant. Trying to figure where it’s all coming from.

It can’t all be coming from the upper can it. It’s never leaked before from here, but the soaked threads in the radiator hose make me wonder if it’s delaminated.

Going to fill up and get it hot again and see if thats where it’s all coming from.

Drove it around, got it hot…nothing. Towed a small trailer. Nothing.

IMG_3160.webp

Ended up going to grab another small load in the trailer, put it all away and more coolant. 🤨

Not on the hose, not on that side but over by the steering box under the overflow tank. Overflow and hose bone dry. Splashes on the skid plate and blown to the side. On the center/top of axle and tie rod…

Looking while it was running the alt belt was floppy more than normal.

Looking around I found this. Broken alt bracket.

IMG_3164.webp

So my wild theory is either the alt bracket broke and it’s wobbling the water pump enough to cause some fluid dump, or vice versa, the pump is going bad and stressed the bracket.

However, I don’t see any coolant on or around the pump. I’m a bit stumped on where it’s coming from.

Maybe try dumping a little bit of UV dye in the coolant and see if that helps reveal where the coolant is coming from?

Wild long shot … I had a radiator tube leak at the very top, right where it meets the top tank. It was so far tucked underneath the shroud that I couldn’t see it until I got my phone camera down near the water pump (this is in my 60 mind you) and point it towards the radiator and little upwards. It was below the big hose which obscured it even more. Took me weeks to find. Just sayin’, maybe put it on your list of things to check.

I might have to give that a go again.

Yeah I think my next step is to pull the shroud. It’s a bit of a pain but I just can’t see anywhere it’s coming from.

Could it be a crack in the overflow tank?

Overflow is completely dry. Even the overflows overflow hose??

I just took another test drive. I cleaned everything up before.

It’s only on the right hand side. Only this splatter and not anywhere I can see on the block. No coolant hoses on that side…

Is the drip hitting a belt and spraying around? Any belts with wet (or dried) coolant on them?

I think….hope I have the answer. I believe @CruiserTrash is right. It’s hitting a belt and flying over.

I should have known better as it was my biggest concern in doing this or an in hose coolant heater.

I moved it again and parked I finally noticed what looks like coolant/rust marks on the belt.

Also on the pulley.

Well, I didn’t see this earlier but it’s the inline temp sensor. I’ve had it in for a bit and checked for weeks on end and no leaks.

IMG_3184.webp

I cinched it up tighter, it was a little loose and some coolant leaked out, not a ton but I’m pretty sure that’s where it’s coming from. I even had constant torque style and they appeared to have loosened up some.
It’s right above the belt. There is no coolant on the top of the belt or on the battery next too it.

Weird stuff happens under the hood with air.

I cinched them down, will top off coolant and test again. I think the issue is at these temps, I’m barely bouncing off the thermostat so that isn’t moving a lot of coolant.

I’m ordering a new hose and just going back to my cylinder head temp setup as it was pretty close to coolant temps.

the non toyota part should always be the first suspect 🧐

I had that part on the shelf for awhile because I just don’t like cutting into hoses. Same reason I never did a coolant heater in the lower hose.

I had been watching that and it hadn’t leaked for months. Hopefully it’s just that.

Not sure I’ll test today because it’s 37 degrees and 30 mph wind. Which without ANY top at the moment is a little more adventure than I want

Aaaaaaaand….that didn’t fix it.

Bizarre...

Skid plate only has a few splashes. The underside like this. I’m just going to have to start pulling things to see what’s leaking.

It’s possible there is pinhole somewhere but I can’t seem to find it yet. The engine appears to be completely clean from what I see.

Still not sure what’s actually leaking. There is coolant, but I’m not sure if it’s actually from the water pump or something else. It’s hard to imagine it’s blowing down without making a mess anywhere else.

IMG_3212.webp

All the bolts were pretty tight, only one was a little looser than the others, but barely. Water pump feels/turns fine. Still at a loss. Radiator is fine, no spills, same with shroud.

Also the alternator bracket is done. I should be able to find a fab shop to recreate that as I doubt it’s still available.

Brainstorm time…
Do those radiator pressure testers work decent?

Replace waterpump? (Aisin with 70k kms)
Replace both radiator hoses
