It's been pointed out by one of the mates from down under that it's a 78 Series and not a 75 Series. I hang my face in shame for not knowing the difference.

Seems like an ideal Cruiser for the Walton's or the Brady Bunch but considering the fact that my children are all grown, perhaps a 11 seat cruiser might be a tad overkill. I guess my little dinky BJ might be more practical. :)

I don't care if it's a 75, 78, or 987 series, it is still pretty damned cool .... And unobtanium in the USofA

I'll be 82 by the time the 987 Series is legal for import. :bang:

An official explanation:
"The 78 Troopy was identical to the 75 except for the coil suspension."

coil front only rear still leaf
5 bolt pattern rims verses the old 6 bolt
4:30 diff verses 4:11

All that "mechanical" mumbo-jumbo is way above my pay grade. (I'm a turn key kinda guy)
All I know is that the 78 Series is white and cool looking.
However NOT as cool as this white Cruiser. :)
In my opinion, the above Cruiser is the only Cruiser that still looks good with that ridiculous front bumper. : )

Another object of lust, that :)

Another difference is the transmission
75 had the H55F
newer has the H150 or R151 tranny
and I think the frame dimensions has tiny differences

that white 77 now resides in Ontario ... just saying.
i keep track of Land Cruiser porn.

So close, yet so far away.

I guess with a little fabricating skills, my 75 Series could look like this. :)

Thanks Alberto......
Some very enjoyable videos.
His "adaptation" would definitely get my mind off of the 77 Series.

Your efforts are appreciated :)
All porn is personal....I do like the old style front clip.
Beautiful, simple, classic rig.
