It doesn't look perfect, but much better than what I started with.

Wow, the axles look good! If you need any help with the cable routing, I can bring mine up for a reference.
Peter

That would be great!

We definitely need to plan and meet up sometime soon. I still have that air intake piece if you still want it :).

Thanks, Peter!

You were supposed to post photos of your new bumper....... :D

Since my current FF rear housing with elocker is already bolted to the truck, and I had to service the bearings anyways, I went ahead and service that axle and will bolt the cable-locker 3rd member assembly when its time to re-assemble.

I pulled the elocker, cleaned the housing and bolted the cable locker on its place.

Bought new paper gaskets for the cable locker to axle housing assembly from Onur (Beno), part number 42181-60070 for future reference.

Then started working on changing wheel-bearings.

A long while ago I had bought new FF wheel bearing kit from SOR and bought the Toyota FF service tool from Dan (cruiserdan).

I'm glad I replaced the bearings as there were signs of water contamination inside the hubs.

Looking good Alberto !!! Might need to find some of those... Loved them on my old BJ74.... Pretty bullet proof!!

The little set-screws for the FF got a little mangled when I pulled them out. I bought new one of those as well from Onur (Beno). Part number is 42419-60011 for reference.

Assembled the rear hubs and finished the rear axle following the FSM procedures.

I want to thank Onur (Beno), Dan (cruiserdan), and Sheldon (70sguy) for helping with parts and information to get this done.

I hope you don't plan on driving that thing in the Ohio Winters. It would be a shame to get salt on the undercarriage. :)

Alberto...the cable lockers are coming along nicely! Thanks for the heads up on the American Metal Cleaning place, I'll be looking into them. Look for a text message coming your way.

Damn Alberto is cheating on me!

You are doing a gear job on the 70... Take it to Rubicon this year... Forget the 40..:)
