Good work, those LHD engine bays are really tight for space with the clutch booster in there too. My RHD 80 series booster has the vacuum port on the opposite side, must be market specific.

Thanks again, Hulsty. I really appreciate your help.

Awesome work on the brakes Alberto. Great information here for fellow early 7x folks wanting better performance.

You must research for a living!! ;)

Wow.... You mean these things are supposed to STOP in a timely fashion and in a straight line...... I never knew that. :D

Not much has happened to the BJ70 lately.

I did, however, manage to purchase a set of 70 series Cable Locking axles (complete front and rear) from Sheldon (70sguy). Sheldon is a super cool guy and very pleasant to do business with.

Both axles are 9.5", so the cable lockers are going in and both Toyota axles with elocker will be soon for sale.

I got to bother my friend Andy (A ROGUE) again to go and pick up the axles from the Freight company in his FJ60.

Once I got the front axle stripped, I took the axle and knuckles to American Metal Cleaning here in Cincinnati to get cleaned and remove the rust.

http://www.americanmetalcleaning.us/

A little literature from their website:

"American Metal Cleaning of Cincinnati, Ohio can strip any steel object of almost any size and weight. Our totally nondestructive paint and rust removal process strips and derusts parts without damage to the base metal, unlike acid-based processes. We’re set up for light to heavy industry, handling pieces up to 8 feet wide and weights of up to 2 tons.

I was really impressed with the results. It took about two weeks to get the parts back.
