Is the LED strip (above the amber lights) a special order item or is it available at any good parts retailer?
Thanks......

I believe he bought it from a forum member, he owns a 100 series.
The performance from these are awesome and I want one on my truck.
I know the only issues guys are having with them is what kind of lens they have. I know most retailers are using glass which would pose a problem with rocks from oncoming traffic. There are retailers out there using Lexan and I think this is the ticket for durability. You don't have to spend what rigid is asking for them to get a good product IMPO, you just need to know where to look.
I would love to see removable covers to change the light color too like the rigid ones.

thanks for the compliment.
1/4" plate
there will be a rubber isolator between the steel plate and the aluminum bumper main beam.
the plate and mount will be PC to match the bumper and frame.
cheers
3/16 or 1/4 plate?

Looking good...

as FB stated, i bought them from Nick Callum at Expedition lighting (if i remember correctly). he is swamped right now with the group buy (i did not participate on the buy but bought serperately). i have been impressed with the quality, price and service.
at this time i would recommend his product.

Wayne,

The 70 looks great! Wonderful work. Glad to do business with you and look forward to having the opportunity to do so again. Keep the updates coming! Do you mind if I use the pictures in my photo gallery?

still fitting the winch plate
i wanted an interior light for the back and this light seemed to fit the bill. it is rechargeable, removable and with the brackets i found it snaps securely into place.
i also added a 3 way 12V power outlet to the rear for easy access, cheap and quick additions.

i also found this aluminum case for the welding head. it comes with mouldable foam inside to cut and secure properly. no rattling, no mess and cheap as well.

Cool, I think they should have enough light(s) on that rig for about anything.

Since the last 8274 walked away in the middle of the night off that rig, are you doing anything different on that one to keep it from happening again?

if someone wants something bad enough they will get it ...
the last one was removed while sitting for a long long time beside a shop out in the open.

Crushers where did you get that portable welding system (sry if you've already said where). Thanks!

always like leads to cool stuff.
cheers
There are a couple of cool winch lock companies out there. I'll track one down later on when I get back from the gym.

On a plowtruck in southern Ontario you might as well just grind the heads off some standard bolts. I don't believe that that key will turn the bolt once it is all rusted together.

If it were me I'd just weld a chunk of angle over a couple of the standard bolts and grind it off if you ever need to remove the winch. If a thief has a grinder he's pretty much won no matter what you do. .

I've hammered a bit of buckshot into allen head fasteners for theft resistance as well. You just need to melt or pick it out when you want to remove the bolt.
