Thank you for that info. I'm going into town tomorrow so I will need to go to McDonald Industrial and see what they might have. I looked up metric/SAE equivilants and the 6mm is close to what I previously experimented with. My church has a total of 20 of these tables, with 8 screws per table, for 160 total. However, not all the tables are having the screws pulling out, yet. So we will not need to do all the tables right away.

Thank you adistler1 for that link. I would think that tool will also do the plus nuts, even though it appears to be for the nut-sert. I'm a tool fanatic, as long as I can afford it on my budget. Consequently, because of the price I will get it for myself as soon as I can fit it into my budget.

@oldschool4wheeling - if you have it handy, can u pls pass along the link to the rivnuts/plusnuts that you recommended for the barn doors?

Also if I'm just doing the 4 rivnuts in the barn doors for the hinges, is it safe to assume your "thrifty" diy tool would suffice for those nuts into the barn doors?

Was surprised I couldn't find any rivnuts at my local Lowes and amazon is overwhelming with options... any guidance is appreciated.

The tool I posted comes with an assortment of nutserts. I also bought the Hilitchi brand on Amazon.

Thanks @adistler1 , ordered up the combo set of nutserts by Hilitchi, something like 150 mixed sized pieces for $15ish.

Excited to hopefully join the trending "barn doors on a late model tub" club soon.

Hoping @oldschool4wheeling figured out how to make/fab up the barrel latch/spring since mine is also missing.

Cheers guys, I'm fired up!

I went to McDonald Industrial yesterday afternoon. They have different variations of the nut-serts, but no plus nuts. The plus nuts is what I'm looking for since it looks like it will better support plastic sheet. So, I guess it's down to the internet.

I really appreciate the pics of the two side by side. Makes it much easier for me to look for what I know is available.

There are expensive kits on Amazon but you can also find them on Ebay or via Google and select "Shop".

I felted really lucky.... no rust!!

I did find something stange... Not sure about these bolts??? Even one of them was crossed threaded.

I can't Imagine this being off anytime in the past. So my hypothesis is that it came from the factory this way...
