This marker was barely holding on. New pair inbound.

Front & rear brakes look good, stops well. No leaking axle seals or rear wheel cylinders or pinions.

Greasy knuckles but no soup leaking.

Front brake lines all rotted,
front frame to axle line too short pulled tight.
Rear brake line frame to axle is rotted.

Hard line across axle needs shortening a few inches and reflared.

Front leafs are sagged about 1.5". Shackle angle is too steep. Will do a longer shackle vs new leafs. Longer shackle will decrease the shackle angle slightly, help the spring a bit.

Lowering the back would be pita and the rear shackles are at a good angle.

I’ll be interested which lines you use to get the length, I need to find these still.

So much better with the steelies too! 😎

I actually have a set of five city racer 16” wheels with 255/85R16 km3s mounted sitting in Idaho that were for another project, but now they go to this truck.
If those beadlocks ended up in Idaho with nowhere to go, I might have spot for them

I’m debating buying a fifth and using them with some 37s on Pua’a or selling them and using the beadlock Enkies I’ve had .. forever.

Crunchy rubber seals.

Amazingly the cargo windows and windshield seals are good to go, but I’ve got an order in to Slocruisers for the rest.

So overall.

Frames pretty clean, body is solid. Few dents here and there.

Door seals could have been done better. They look generic .vs oem. Replacements on order.
Doors all close well.

Hood bumpers need slight adjusting, hood pin adjustment.

New or refurb radiator in it.

Rear bumper has a few dings needs some love. Front bumper same. Grille needs a bit of tweaking.

Brush guard: I’m thinking shorten a bit and run it, doesn't look out of place. A nice piece, but the top bar blocks the “TOYOTA” on the grille.

Then the grille, headlight surrounds, front fender vents, bumpers snd push bar all go to the powder coat shop for some “Vegas Gold”.

Since I’m replacing the rear markers I went ahead and ordered the front turn signals, too. Replacing the dark LED headlights with a set of LEDs that look period.

Should look very stock, except for the header, exhaust, lift, carpet and stereo, and the cupholders. 😂

Here's where to buy a set of hood bumps. Great quality.

This may not be helpful, but, concerning the flexible brake lines going to the knuckles, I needed a female/female long flexible line to make that connection for the new lines I built for my 45. I found these worked well. IIRC, they are like 14" long.

Sounds like your guy in ID has a lot of work ahead of him. Any idea of when you'll have her in CO? Hopefully, in time to enjoy her in the mountains this summer!

4-6 weeks max. I need to have it in CO for Moab. Not to wheel, but we’re supposed to be a vendor this year. (Driving it over I-70 both ways is gonna suck.)

Trails this summer are definitely on the list.

I assume you are buying FJ40 front turn signals and changing the bases? I have a pair of NOS FJ55 turn signals from our friend in Yemen, in the boxes. I bought an extra set for someone that actually needed the earlier style.

That electrical tape has got to go. Turn signal stalk is broken, too. It was there in the BAT listing photos.

In other news, the lift is up and running, and it looks like it's time to fix the PS rack on the Taco.
It's always something.

Those wheel look good for sure! I’ve got to dig up those caps, they make all the difference!
