Are the threshold covers what was on the pig or did you find them somewhere

The threshold covers (scuff plates) came from a 60 series truck. I bought them from @cruiserjunktion. They fit well. Not perfect, but not too shabby either.

Excellent work. Are those new wiper blade holders or just new rubber blades? I assume the holders are NLA?

Love the color. I have seen one or two for sale in Saudi that are tan and white.

Thank you, sir. I love the color as well. You don’t see them often. Original stainless blade holders but new rubber blades.

Nice to know the blades are still available.

I was able to get new blades and my stainless holders and arms are visibly in good shape but one of them doesn't press very well or at least not very flat and you only get about 30% contact when the wipers operate. I put that arm on the passenger side so it's not the end of the world but something I need to deal with in due course......or only drive it when it's dry.

Wait until the whole wiper arm flys off in a rain storm, both sides did it to me. The older ones like ours only push on, later years have a screw in the cap.

Yeah, they may be garbage but they sure look purty! :grinpimp:

Rain-X my friend. Rain-X. I use it on all my old cruisers to assist with the painfully slow wipers that mainly just skitter across the surface, hitting the high spots. It works great. Sometimes Rain-X alone is good enough to not have to use the wipers at all.

Street legal and out on grocery getting duty. Bucky is now a man about town.

Inside and out

Bucky was missing the rear cargo panels on both sides and the front kick panels were torn and crumbling. I decided to make new panels out of FRP board. FRP is fiberglass reinforced plastic. It is waterproof and commonly used in showers and bathrooms. It is readily available at Lowe’s or Home Depot for around $25 for a 4’ x 8’ sheet. I bought three yards of black vinyl from WalMart to cover the panels. 3M Super 77 adhesive provided the sticky. I used self tapping screws to attach everything.

Nice. Not sure I would have gone the self-tapping route but that's why it takes me forever to get anything done.
I hear what you’re saying and I agree, but the factory fasteners were missing and I wasn’t about to pay $1 each for new ones. The front kick panels use screws anyway. This truck does not aspire to greatness, only betterness. I try to focus my anal tendencies on my other cruisers. Working on this rusty old pig is very liberating to me. I don’t feel like I have to sweat the details like I do with my other trucks. If I did, it would drive me insane.
