too much paint, not enough patina.

someone has hijacked @wngrog ‘s garage

I’ve still got a load of junk here.

I’m all about Patina but chaos kills me.

I've always aspired to your prep skills prior to paint , scuff and shoot, hope this doesn't raise the bar!:grinpimp:
Seriously, This will be magnificent when finished.

If you can’t throw a round of oak in the back of your 45, it’s useless!!! These rigs love and want to work!!!

Sheeeeit. Lockwood gonna have this thing full of farm junk. It’s just gotta leave pretty to him.

This tailgate is from 30 years as a wood hauler, this was of course back in the day when a 45 was a tool to get the job done and not a cherished icon of the landcruiser world!!

Went to check on the powder coater today. All the body color parts (and bolts) are blasted.

Lockwood is bringing the white material so we will have these steps looking ship shape soon

I’m assuming the flat heads are stock.

Here is my 63 shortly after I bought in in 2006, long before I did all the work to it. It was a wood hauler in the Placerville CA area for 30 years or so.

Another piece of art showed up today.

For a build like this, modern working gauges, accurate speedo and the tachometer are key.

This Dakota Digital unit does a fantastic job keeping the OEM look and further take the load off the 56 year old harness. We can even program in the original mileage.

Take the old White and White/Blue Wires and tie them together. Then take the old wires and tape them up and out of the way. The rest goes through the data port.

Was that from Kade, who got it from Marty? If so he traded quite a few loads of wood to me for axles, spindles, and maybe a steering box or two. Mid 90’s.
