Slow and steady today. Big momentum jump after bogging down yesterday on a couple issues.

Always scrape your stickers people. Nothing screams 1/2 ass more than these stupid stickers baked on your junk.

In my opinion, even with stock length shackles these early trucks need more caster.

These STEEL shims come from @orangefj45 and they go on ever lift I do. This will really make this truck steer like a dream.

Don’t use aluminum shims. They are garbage.

Went to the storage container nicknamed Lockwood’s Lair since it’s full of his junk.

Grabbed a couple of these 255/85-16 Yokohama and the monster rear leaf packs and headed back to the shop.

Before this guy went under the truck I coated this solid ass gold via @RustyNailJustin with a couple coats of clear.

An old man and an axle.

Work smart not hard, right?

I mounted up the 2 tires, added a tie rod and rolled this sucker under Rotunda.

That’s about when I remembered I had not eaten all day in my full spaz mode and almost crushed myself putting the 100# leaf spring on my table

I got the rear end jacked up and the truck leveled out to dive into the rear end tomorrow.

I’ve called in the Marine @USMC22 for some help on that end. We have to finish out the rear axle with the Harrop locker. I also have to get the hubs built out before he arrives so we can button all that up, hopefully tomorrow.

In the mean time, here is some Rotunda porn.

(keep in mind there is zero weight on the front. It will come down at least 3”)

Pooped.

Looks perfect!!! Are those the 2.5” springs from OME? Where are you able to buy just the springs? All I ever see are kits but I want to run something other than OME shocks.

Nice tire selection, I am running those on my 80. They are excellent off-road. 255 is also perfect for SuA with 2-3” lift.

Cheers

Mosley Motors @FJ60Cam let’s me mix and match the OEM stuff. I never use their Ubolts or shocks but I swear by the springs and shackles.

Gotcha, one last question.:) Any chance you can post up the part numbers on the shocks your using, front and rear? I looked at Fox website, but they don’t show older Land Cruisers on their list.
Your threads are extremely inspirational. I‘ve read through all of them this week. Now I’ve got wheels and tires coming, and I’m getting close to pulling the trigger on suspension. Needless to say, the wifey is going to need a back rub when she sees the back account.

I would recommend what I do. She has everything she wants and needs. She has not clue if we have 1$ or 10 million. She doesn't care she has what she wants and needs.
I change the password weekly to our bank for "security concerns".

This is an all in project. That is what full commitment and a solid bank account looks like LOL. Nolen what leaf springs are you using on the back. Are you going medium or heavy leaf pack

I’ve not used the Fox 2.0 yet so I can’t 100% tell you this is the direction to go on your build.

I’m a huge fan of the Blistein 5100 series but wanted to experiment with these on this build.

The 45 pack comes one way. Full

Tomorrow I am going to dissect it. Likely pull 3 Leafs out to start.

The key is to have so many rigs, she comes home and walks right by a new find, and just keeps going!!!!

This is 100% my wife. Knows I have a pile. No idea how big the pile is.

That said she loves my new shop cat

Great build, I’m really liking the city racer 16} with 255.

So what was the skinny on the Fox Shox spec, someone must have done some research?

I called them up and specked our what I thought this project would need.
