Yeap, looks like im set on red.
Im not used to the lack of rust, and only twisting a few fasteners off, vs all of them.

Working on freeing the shift linkage in next on the list....i would like to see something move before i take everything apart...right now there is 0 movement in anything.

I wasnt into it when i first heard about it.....early last fall. But the more i gave it some thought, and started getting more info on it, and then a few pictures, started getting into it...im now excited to really get going on it.

Awesome find!! You can try to drain the trans and fill it with a 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone and letting it sit and dissolve some rust while penetrating the shift rails to free them up. White vinegar also helps to eat rust slowly. All takes time (days/weeks) though.

i have no doubt its the linkage....the transfer linkage is free now.

Sorta moving the project forward.
I started preparing this area for stone last year...and then got side tracked. I have a 60 series frame in the garage, that will be moving outdoors now...I was planning on setting the wagon there, but now want the indoor space for the '61.
Today I finally ordered stone and put the one of '72 sears to work. Once I get the garage cleaned out, the cruiser will be coming home from the business.

The company car trailer was available and I was able to duck out of the office for the afternoon, then this played out.

And the gas tank still 5 gallons of "gas" in it.
