Hmmm

I'll have to do some experimenting. I'm sure it's possible just locking down a sustainable procedure will probably take some time. I've heard good results from ABS and Acetone
Use glazing putty. It's a much less viscous version of body filler and fills in all the tiny layer lines very well. I had a Scangauge mount printed for me to replace the sunglass holder in the headliner, and I completely smoothed it over with a few light coats of glazing putty using a plastic squeegee and wet sanding in between each. After that it can be painted whatever color you want, I chose the Dupli-Color Perfect Match BTY1596 Khaki. I could do a lot better if I did it again and didn't rush as much, but I still think it looks great

EDIT: I would not recommend wet sanding because different filament types have different sensitivities to moisture. Stick with dry sanding

Keep up the great work!

Keep up the great work!

do you by chance have any photos of how well that color is match to the tan 100 series interior ? trying to find something close for the upper storage console.

Duplicator "khaki" is a great match for the tan interior in my truck. Not sure if shades differed at all between models.
Now that you mention it, I'm almost positive this was the color I actually used. I got several and tested them on small pieces of sheet metal first and I'm pretty sure sure khaki was the closest.

I will get a pic for you soon to show the match. Haven't driven my truck in a few weeks, been enjoying the Avalon more frequently with these gas prices hah

I'm in for a cupholder insert and a shifter panel; I'll get my order going real soon. Probably the rear seat AC redirect, too. I've HAD rear seats for my truck since I've had it, but I'm pretty positive they've never been sat in/ have been in the garage mostly since, and so that panel on the ceiling up there just is on medium/ blowing whatever air the rest of the truck is set on all the time.

This is a super nice finish! I will definitely try that out on some switch panels soon!

Trying to get caught up on orders has been crazy! There was such an influx when the shifter trim panels were released and I'm only just now getting back on my feet. Prototyping time has taken a hit and all my focus has been on pumping out parts as fast as possible.

Learning the hard way that having a side business with multiple products and a full time role is challenging to say the least. Going to let the dust settle and see how things go, but may have to transition into a group buy/only in stock when I have 20 ready to ship method for some parts like the window switch panels. Hopefully will be able to refrain from that as I personally really dislike participating in and waiting for group buys/pre-orders in general.

Most of my backlog will be knocked out this weekend and hopefully I can get back to hardcore prototyping this week/next weekend. Thank you again to all those who have ordered and shown interest.

This has been a blast so far.

I saw your concept drawing for the rear AC redirect, I know it is just a concept but think the unit itself is too bulky. How about something like below? I actually have this on my house hybrid water heater to redirect the cold air coming out of the side. But something to this effect is much compact, similar idea like you see on AC vents in commercial settings.

From what I can tell , the thing with this design is it will only turn the air down. The idea of the vent redirect is to turn the air specifically forward in to the 2nd row area. If thhis did have enough of an angle to get air pushed forward then I dig it.

Finally got around to making an install video for the cruiserdm.com Shifter Trim Panel, hopefully this eases some worries about the install. It can be a bit intimidating, but with the quick disconnect terminal I provide I believe it will be easier than most expect.

Of course you can always go the more detailed route of Chowcares video and pull the pins on the electrical plug for the O/D switch, but I didn't have the tool and wasn't looking to order it for just this job.

Please excuse the finish of the shifter trim panel in the video, had to use a blem to get the guide video made as the rest that I have are currently being shipped.

Also! The 100 series cupholders have a new option. I've added a credit card slot and a couple cubbies for pens, lighters, and whatever other garbage you fellas like to carry around in your rigs. No additional charge, and you can still order with or without. Here's a rough render, printing the first one now.

If you haven't shipped order 1066 yet and want to put the new version in there, that'd be cool. If it's already wrapped up and UPS has it- that's fine too. :)

Unfortunately it has already been boxed up and is waiting for pickup Monday :( I'd be happy to give you a discount on the new set if you decided you want it down the road since your order was just before I dropped these. Just shoot me a PM if interested.

Great idea since one side of mine is used for pens and a tablet stylus.

Nah, all good. :)
I don't smoke and don't need a pen hardly ever, but the cc slot did look good. I'll be really glad to have a better cupholder and a refreshed shifter panel, though.

It seems like the third row vents will need the headliner dropped to bolt them thru and provide a secure enough mount, I'm not loving the current versions clip-in to the plastic existing vent holders. Still working on that.

In the meantime, I've produced a couple new things. Most excitingly, mounts for the third row seatbelt bolts. This is for those of you who just don't run the third row seats or have installed a drawer system, and have those huge holes where the third row seatbelts went.

The first of these mounts being for the camco paper towel holder. This thing is super neat because you can slide it right off of the mount, and carry it around! Perfect for having a roll at camp, having to work on your rig in a pinch, or just a good old fashioned tailgate. see some pics:

I'm working on snugging the mount up just a little closer to the trim panel, but you can twist it horizontally or vertically by hand and the door shuts no problem! Rode around with the windows down for a few and there's a bit of wiggle in the camco holder but nothing crazy.

I would probably just store the roll and holder in a drawer if I was going for a long windows down highway trip so they didn't unwind and flap around, but should be no issue for an offroad adventure.

I plan to iron this design out and offer two more options, one for a QuickFist clamp (These things are great for holding axes, tools, anything cylindrical really), and another basic closed 3D Printed hook.

Probably looking at $40 for one mount or $70 for two. (Prices NOT including the Camco Paper towel holder ($10 from amazon), or quickfists (Around $10 per from amazon)

Let me know what you guys think, I'm pretty excited about this one.

How are these mounted? Are you using the seatbelt bolt or just attaching it to the trim?

I'd ordered some parts from Impex to swap the shift knob to an 80-series (just vinyl instead of leather cover- reportedly fits) while I have stuff apart for this install, but figured out last night that it looks pretty OK with just the old/deteriorated leather pulled off. Good thing- they cancelled my order and are apparently refunding due to missing a part.

But- the shift indicator plate and the cupholder look great, looking forward to getting them installed. Couple little pieces toward cleaning up the inside of this 23yo truck. 🤙
