So I'm new to all this, I just replaced my radiator and thermostat today, I went to "burp" the air out, took the radiator cap off and heat defrost full blast, Ran the truck for about 30 min, never saw any bubbling coming out of the radiator at all, but thermostat gauge started going up and up...

Hi everyone, I am getting ready to replace my radiator on 2k LC and I was hoping if someone could share a how to. I have searched the form and tube but could not find anything on the subject. I appreciate your help and opportunity to save myself some time. E.

So... Has anyone ever had a radiator rupture? Explode is a more accurate description of the event. Luckily, no hood damage.

EDIT: I called in and had my question answered, they confirmed it to be Koyo A1918. Was able to get the Koyo from $176 plus tax and shipping. Should be in my house in 2 hours so I will confirm with photo. Thanks

I have this FJ40 radiator and U support that was removed from my 73 when the 3fe went in. I ran this radiator for about 4 or 5 years. I believe it was new when the PO installed it shortly before I bought it. 100 + shipping.

I found a small puddle of coolant today, and a shop verified a pinhole in the center of the radiator. Definitely not a fitting or hose. Is the factory radiator repairable by a radiator shop (pickle, solder/weld the hole, pressure test, and paint)?
