I want to thank @GH1291 and another member (can't find the thread at the moment) for putting some helpful information about the wiring for the seat heaters on ih8mud.
This will be my overview of recovering the front leather seats in my wife's 2005 LX470 with about 250k on it. We ordered seat...
Heyyy ery body.
So I have a potential hook up for a batch of part number 87245-60420.
This is the heater hose that replaces the u-turn hose and fittings, which is used when bypassing the rear/floor heaters.
In the picture it is the red hose. It eliminates 3 hose clamps and leak points, and...
Has anyone sourced the foam necessary to restore a '73 FJ40 Heater. SOR has a kit for $26.
I searched through Ih8mud and didnt find anything. There has got to be a good source of foam, that does not cost $26.
Cleaned out the mouse nests in the front heater blower fan. Is there anything I should do to rebuild or lube the heater motor before I reinstall? The blower motor seems to work fine, but I see two screws that might or not take the motor apart and wondering if I should to pay some attention to...
Howdy all!
Weather is getting cool here, and winter will soon be upon us.
We get below freezing temperatures here and consistently in the 30s during winter.
Is there a particular engine heater recommended for diesels like the H engine?
I was looking at the Kat's Engine Heaters that heat up...
It's an old LX450 and we sure like it. We are LC forum people from way, way back. But after getting home from a month away, we found the glovebox and heater fan full of mouse nest . Looks like shredded brown cloth fiber insulation from somewhere in the car.
Darn, how did they get in? I...
Has anybody had a heater blower that runs then not? I can be driving along, and it just shuts off. I have replaced the blower, and removed the dash controls, cleaned inside the best I could. The buttons all have nice crisp snaps, between speeds, and redirecting air flow.
Blower off/on does...

Greetings! I’m in the process of replacing thermostat, water pump, coolant hoses, etc. The previous owner removed the heater and from reading on this forum I’m pretty sure he just rerouted the heater hose from A to B in the picture. My question is, can I just place a cap at A and B and remove...

I'm looking for a set of the long heater tubes that run from the firewall back to the heater. My '81 has the heater in the center console and not in the rear tub, so they are shorter than the 79-80's.
Thank you!
I noticed by accident some coolant deposits on one of the tee's so I ordered the metal ones when doing the timing belt. One of them totally disintegrated when removing it. I suppose I should do more routine inspections.
I've just replaced the heater control valve, old one was a bit leaky. Now at the max hot setting it only blows hot air for about 10 seconds before it goes lukewarm. If I turn it down to full cold then back to full hot it does the same thing again. Anyone any thoughts as to why it's doing this?
So I’m trying to prep for winter. Can’t find an OEM block heater, and I don’t want to go through the trouble of removing a freeze plug, only for a universal block heater to not fit.
So option 2, heating the oil instead of the coolant. I don’t necessarily want to do a magnet or stick on heating...
I've searched here but can't find the heater tee part number. Toydiy shows the tees but doesn't provide a part number. Dealer says I gotta buy the hose kits (three hoses plus tee) to get the tee. The tees look fine and I'll take them apart to inspect before I just replace. Just wanted to...
I'm at the local parts counter and hoping for help with quick question. My 94 heater ac blower assembly shows part number 87103-60140 which is NLA "discontinued".
There is part number 87103-26020 which IS available but parts guy says description in his system description says is "non-AC...
Looking for someone that can send me a picture of how the copper tubing is layed out on a '73 FJ40 going to the front heater as well as any pics of the tubing going to the rear heater.
Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone.
Appreciate all the help on here.
As I'm on here today getting ready to assemble almost a complete new coolant system, I'm reminded of a noise that came only for a few seconds then gone for the rest of the day.
It sounds like somebody dropped a couple pebbles down a plastic pipe...
