Looking at several brochures and articles for the FJ40 in the 1975 timeframe. I have seen in several references like this: What about locking the front hubs? Don't you still have to stop and lock the front hubs for 4-wheel drive?

Tiny clamps, one section at a time. Start in the upright position and do top of doors, then lay flat to do bottom in the same manner. Lay generous line of adhesive. Helps to lay gaskets out overnight on the door with a heater on the night before.
