FS 1979 FJ40, in VA, very good condition
I am putting my dune beige 1979 (February 1979, manufacture date) FJ40 up for sale. It was delivered to California, where it had spent most of its life, before I bought it and had it shipped to Virginia. It has the original 2F motor, still with all smog equipment, the stock 4 speed transmission and transfer case. Transmission and transfer case shift smoothly. It is currently showing 61,047 miles on the odometer, which will be increasing slightly as I do drive the vehicle weekly to keep it in good shape. TEQ tool bag with tools as well as jack and jack accessories are still in place and included. The odometer works as does the speedometer and all gauges, horn, lights, turn signals, hazards, dash light, gauge lights, reverse lights...
1972 FJ40 Land Cruiser
I have a 72 FJ40 that i'm selling. It does not run but all the running gear is there from the original intake and exhaust on the 1f motor to the drivelines and axles. The tub is not perfect but not all rusted out in the rear either. The skin on the passenger side was replaced at one point but they didn't do a great job. Floor is in good shape as well. Good hood, windshield frame, front clip (other than the dented Passenger side fender) Pink slip was lost by previous owner, but I am told it is out of the system. Would require vin verification either way, both vins are there and matching. Located in Sacramento CA, take away for $1700

1972 FJ40 in Austin
Selling one of my easier projects. It's a 1972 FJ40 with awesome patina. It runs and drives good with the occasional backfire. I put in a new battery and a Trollhole carb. It has a set of 33x12.5 BFG tires on it. The body has minimal rust and some areas have been replaced with sheetmetal. Previous owner cut the harness so the lights and alternator don't work but the wiring is there to hook them back. Both front fenders were cut, cruisercorps has them for $230 each. Add a $500 paint job and a day of electrical work would make this a nice DD. Photo album Picasa Web Albums - CruiserYard - 1972Red40 Priced for a quick sale at $7200. I may be able to deliver out for $1/mile out west if payment is received before hand.

79 and 70 Parts FJ40's
i have two parts 40's that I just picked up for a couple of things I needed. Before I start a full part out I thought I would post them and see if anybody wanted one or both. The 79 is rough. The tub is shot unless you are very ambitious. It does however have power steering, front disc brakes and the 3:73 axles. There are a good bit of parts here depending on what you need. The 70 is a sprung over project. The body has some bad spots but could be saved I think. It also has a big ass roll bar. Since I have to list prices $1500 for the 79 and $1000 for the 70. I'm very negotiable. If nobody is interested soon I will be parting both. I will also sell them together.
1973 FJ40 Project - Granbury - DFW Texas
Needing to make room in the warehouse and this project is in the way. I didn't intend to get in to the LC restoration business but my warehouse sure looks like it. I have a VERY nice FJ62 for sale in the classified here too. ----------- 1973 FJ40 with probably one of the cleanest tubs I've ever seen. The story is that a previous owner was almost finished with a frame up restoration, he died before completing it, the next owner had it stored for a few years, not sure how much time had passed in total. The paint was not done properly but the tub is super clean, under side is incredibly clean, no rust patches evident and there was no undercoating yet so it's easy to see. Engine and drivetrain looks like it was gone through but we have...
RIG SECURED - THANKS! We live in Southwest Florida (retired from the Marine Corps). I recently parted ways with a 1968 FJ40, and now my wife says I need a new distraction. That said, another FJ40 would both help me stay clear of my wife, prevent our divorce, and not harm a fellow golfer. The budget is reasonable. Wish list: Original to mostly original Minimal rust 2F engine (mechanically sound) Hardtop Power steering is optional Located in US (prefer a rig close to Florida)
