^^^ You can actually remember for 3 minutes? i forget as soon as she stops talking, my wife would ask me when did i changed the oil on the 60 and i would tell her the exact date and time.

I think this is a new one (and I do this): You have a tube sock wadded up in the lower inside corner of your windshield to soak up the rain water that leaks past the glass - before it hits the carpet!

When the other guys at church tell you they have vehicle envy, almost every Sunday.

When you take the scouts camping and they all want to ride with you.

When a guy that owned a 74 Bronco tells you your truck is cooler than his.

When your asked, "If you ever want to sell it, call me first." and know you never will.

This.
When you drive the wife's car to the fancy hotel overnight since you know valet parking will have no clue how to start your car the next morning.

Only once have I done valet parking at a hotel. The next day the kid takes my ticket and 5 mins later comes back to grab the jump starter. I tell him "that's not for my truck"(my Optima Yellow Top has never failed me) and he worriedly says "yes". Turns out the kid didn't even know what a carburetor was much less how to do the triple-pedal-pump on a cold morning.:slap:

^^^^^ Agreed. Been there done that;)

When you save used parts because you know sooner than later you or someone you know can use them. Do this with the 40 as well.
Have a repairable radiator, clutch master, slave cylinder and unbroken windshield in my attic. It's a unrecoverable sickness..

Casey, this is so true. My wife refers to the shop as "Jimmys Pick N Pull". And the back 40 is where I have carcasses hidden under trees/tarps etc. I have this crazy idea that every part and truck is salvageable :)

Absolutely Jim. I've got bolts in my extras drawer in the garage that I have had longer than my wife. And I can remember exactly what it came from. Sevral parts from a 69 40 and 69 FJ55 I drove in highschool back when gas was less than a buck a gallon.
It's like that junk drawer everyone has that has valuable yet useless items.

^^^^^You are definitely the exception;). Mine was a little grumpy at times while I was building it. Now she is happy because, when we take it out nothing goes wrong with it.

You reach for the manual choke knob on whatever else you have to drive.

You ponder the eternal debate of which "looks best" two round eyes or four square eyes.... For the record it's four square eyes:D
