Game on! Very nice 😎

Thanks to the excellent support group here (enablers?) I’m back on track I think. Daughter came out and helped me lining stuff up, extra hands are good!

I also found I was perhaps a bit under estimating just how far my “about an inch” really was going to push the axle ahead. Will double check everything again once I have it clamped and tacked.

Maintaining progress..I don’t think I’ve ever measured something so many ways, in the end I got all measurements to match so I’m happy.

Tacked on finally , test fit springs next and start on shackle hangers, no art here though...

Looks great so far.... there’s one thing that’s been bugging me, now I wish I would have mentioned earlier, but could also be a non-issue. Hopefully some others will chime in to either confirm or negate.
As beefy as your hangers look, I would feel better if there were a gusset tying the the two sides to the base perpendicular. The fear is that your plates will fold on a side hill scenario or a hard turn, which if happened, would make me feel pretty bad if I hadn’t mentioned it.
Could also be that between the hanger bolt and axle housing and everything else holding together, that nothing would happen.
There’s a lot of weight and forces that those hangers have to deal with.

Anyone else have an opinion about this?

I added a gusset to mine. There's a fair amount of area hanging out there unsupported.

Yeah the top gusset is planned, I could still add one inside too, just a bit more inverted welding...I’ll CAD something up....

Thanks for the great feedback guys.

Internal Gus’s built and tacked in, then hung the springs after dinner.

My plan had been to put weight on it and see where the shackle hangers wanted to be, but with the outboarded springs that’s not really going to work, so I’m stuck for a bit till I figure out how to locate them.

If nothing else I can just move them ahead the 1” I did the other hangers I guess.

What are you using for your shackle hangers?
A pile of steel...dom tube and more 3/16 plate.

Actual shackles I bought with my springs, the anti inversion OME ones.

Just went back and re-read @RUSH55 and @J Mack helpful comments on page 4, I guess I’ll start working out the front hangers and tack them on at the 1” forward...go from there.

One thing I did measure and confirm tonight was the rear spring eye is 3/4” lower than stock from frame rail, I’m not really sure if I should also push the shackle hanger down the same amount?

My thought is leaving the front up that bit will help handling...but that’s not based on anything but a hunch.
