My first cruiser. I know the rule is to never buy the first one you see, but I failed following instructions. A lot of you are experts with a lot more experience than me. Any advice and comments no matter how brutal are appreciated.

What the heck did I buy? For starters it's a 1967.

Pics of the motor?

Thats looks like a very clean Fj40 - I'd bet anything it was repainted. Looks really good, but pics can hide lots of warts...

More photos.
Paint is good from afar and far from good. I know the paint is not original. It appears someone had an idea with poor execution. Lots of runs in paint. Appears to have been done in a hurry.

Man, looks great!

Nice rig bud and welcome to the madness that is FJ40's!

Lots of good stuff! Old caps, bezel on correctly, current inspection, no flares, long jump seats, floor shift (although I personally prefer the 3 on the tree), correct split hood with spear. It would be hard to pass this one up. Great find!

...now just find an old big window Aisin carb!

Good looking 40

Believe by 67 the carburators were small windows. Two sizes of small window carburators at least.

This one has a Weber. I'd like to slowly move it toward original parts but that may be a pipe dream. For now, it can be enjoyed as is.

I happen to have jeep problem with 3 but this cruiser was what I've always wanted. Drives like a tractor.

nice job, thats a nice 40, even sporting the original hub caps, very little has been messed with, someone spent some $ on it too long ago. I like it!

I'd check the brakes, mostly because it looks like it may still be the single circuit set up, which is fine as long as its all good shape(I still run the same on my 64)
