1) that's crazy.
2) has anyone else dropped FJ60 cargo windows into an FJ55? does it involve frame customization?

yeah, price seems pretty nutto (i bought mine for $1200 hahhhahahah), but to be fair, i have seen lots of FJ40s posted for that much, and they're not even this nice.

anyway, some interesting mods, and if they were done well, would certainly be good case studies. too bad there's not a build thread for it. :(

Mine was a "come and get it before we crush it" deal! No funds changed hands!

I can't see $30,000 for this truck.

I wonder if it was the same shop that built mine? Sound the same. Except mine has rancho 9 adjustables........ and was 25k less.

Wait- it has a/c and sliders.

I'm not saying it's not one of the coolest pigs around (aside from the color). Just saying you could build three for that price.

definitely would be neat to find out, but why bother with sliders when all you have to do is push a button on the dash and down goes the rear window?

I think that was $50K a while ago if I'm not mistaken

I'd much rather have the rear window down. I love the smell of the exhaust flowing back into the vehicle. lol

Crazy how all of you put down a vehicle you have never seen except for 4 pictures and a description.

I have to say he has some pretty sick mods. Love to know more about the build.

Some of the things that would be a turn off as far as I'm concerned. I have not commented on the drive train but it would not be my choice.

INTERIOR – Entire body painted with POR15 anti-rust, Floor roof and door panels all padded with sound deadening foam.

Foam is a moisture catcher, not something you need with a '55, what's the POR15 covering?

Koa wood dash with autometer gauges, Chevy tilt steering column, Vintage Air Gen 2 super cooler AC, Leather electric power seats, Power locks on all 4 doors, Leather matching back seat, Tuffy lock box center console, Lighted mirror flip down visors, Electric sunroof with tilt.

This all takes away from the vintage feel of the '55 and the sun roof is another potential rust problem due to leaks.

FJ60 tail lights with guards, Custom box steel front grill.

Could he not find the original ones? I've seen a '55 with '60 series tail lights and it wasn't pretty in my book. It may all be very well done but I'm a sucker for having a "sleeper" (all OEM in appearance but with an upgraded drive train).

you just need to reroute your exhaust;) i was getting it really bad in the blue pig until i redid the tailpipe.

There are many Mudder's that have the skills to build and Mod thier trucks and then you have guys like myself no motor or metal skills or shop and end up paying for the work. Its just a guess and I know how much I've spent , my guess is the owner had this built and has more than 60k invested . 30k is a lot of money but to the right buyer its worth it. One of my clients just bought an ICON sitting on coils and drop $153K, now thats a lot of F***ing money. This is a steal!!!:D

That was cool...I was just thinking about the ICON the other day. I had not heard anything recently.

edit: Is that your 55 way down at the end in the lower photo?

No , the picture is in TLC's showroom in Calif, the ICON ships out on the 16th heads east to our dealership and I get to drive it to my clients, and I'll try to get a little mud on it .
