Last weekend my daughter joined me for a Rising Sun drive up to Yankee Hill Road near Central City CO. Was nice to see some actual snow this winter!

We were only able to make it partway as it the conditions were a bit too sketch (trail was getting very icy, and ahead were 3-4’ drifts, or so they said on the radio from up ahead), but it was great gettin out into fresh air and seeing some beautiful mountain scenery / cool mining history.

Thanks for sharing! I was at the RS meeting last week and I heard the trip report, but I had no idea how big the turnout was. I will have to watch the forum for future runs and tag along.

Today was my first day at my new job as a service advisor at Toyota. It’s a new dealership & today was the first day the advisors, techs & parts were at the dealer. So of course I had to take “Larry the LandCruiser” with me for the adventure. Just the usual stuff for the first day a tour of the building, lunch & the the day was over. A lot of people liked my 40

@DylanH239 congratulations on the new job…. Does this mean you can search the depths of nationwide dealerships for parts inventories no one realizes is still out there? 😎

I drove it out of the garage for the first time in... over three years... Between a holley sniper conversion and being too tall with the soft top bows to exit the garage, she is free! The sniper is now installed and working well. and a new garage door is being installed.

Out of curiosity…how was setting the IAC control after the initial setup? Mine frankly, was a pain for the first few months. Runs great, starts instantly and has been a real benefit to me for this 1975 FJ40. Nice to see your out in the open now. 👏

For an example: I just stop at a traffic light…there is ZERO indication that anything is wrong but my IAC% goes from a 20 when driving to about 10 or 11 at the light…. If I stay there longer than 1 minute, she starts to drift down to 0% slowly 1 digit at a time.

ON THE OTHER HAND: At 2 degrees one morning in the winter, after not using it for a month, it started right up and runs better than any FJ40 I’ve had in over 50 years

I don’t think this one can be classified as “where have you driven your 40 series” but it was pretty cool to see this display when I dropped off our Corolla at Stevenson Toyota West. Perhaps I should’ve posted this in a front end Friday thread?
