That's a cool Beaver DamOn day 2 (Saturday) took a trip up north of Granby, CO towards the ghost town of Teller City. I saw two SXS’s all day! This area is still snowed in and it is a great place to get away from all of the crazy off-roaders.

Many years ago (late 1998), I drove a Nissan Hardbody from Panama to Virginia for the company I flew for. It had Virginia plates, but I had a diplomatic passport. Every time I got stopped, all I did was show the passport and they were as friendly as it's possible for a 14 year old with an AK47 to be. But I could always tell they were disappointed not to get a 'can of Coke' from me.Police stops are just random. As long as you have your id and are legally in Colombia there is no problem. Many of the police speak a little English, which is helpful. Normally I’ll offer them a Coca Cola or show them around my truck. I have beware of dog signs to keep any would be thief away, many don’t dare to look to steal. Not bad at all getting stopped. I got stopped in Nicaraguamore than 10 times. They were always looking for a bribe, but I never paid, you get a Coca Cola
Always an adventure driving around in South America but safe if you don’t drive in rural areas at night.
Thanks for sharing, that's a funny story. Many years ago (late 1998), I drove a Nissan Hardbody from Panama to Virginia for the company I flew for. I always thought it funny how strict they are about immigration and legality in Central America.
