Well I have committed to making a change with my tires and wheels and I have started stockpiling stuff to make it happen. I ordered four steelies w/caps and two 34" (285/75r17)Nitto Trail Grapplers. Why not save the money and order them all at once you ask? Well my job has allowed me to expense certain things for my truck since I use it for work and they asked that I not put it all on one expense report, so over the coming months I will be completing a full set of five tires and wheels. This will leave me with one never used Nitto 295/70r17(spare) to sell at a great price as well as four mildly used ones. I have wanted to do this for awhile but there is always something else to spend money on. I wish I could have it done before SCC but it looks more like the first of 2013. I was going to paint my steelies red but I didn't want Lee to think I was biting his style so I think I may color match them silver or leave them black. I haven't decided yet.

I might be ready for some 295's by then.......

Well let me know, one is unused and still has the fuzzies on it, two have about 15,000 miles on them and two are pushing 30,000 miles. I will make a good deal on them. Brand new I think they run somewhere in the area of $320 a tire and I will probably not ask much more than that for all five. I am thinking maybe $400-450 for the whole set. I will have to actually sit down and work it out.

You just getting rid of tires or wheels too? Either way put me in line after Bowen.

Just the tires. I actually really like the way my alloy wheels look, I have just wanted to swap to steelies forever because I like the old school look of them. I am finally getting a chance at doing it. I will let you and Bowen know for sure after SCC. If I have a definite buyer for them I may be persuaded to purchase the tires sooner rather than later and see if I can't just sit on the receipt for a month or so.

Well, put me third in line for those Jonas. I need to see if they will fit the F250 without any mods but put me in line for now. And congrats on getting someone else to pay for your mods. I wonder if I can justify it to my boss....... :hhmm:

Good luck, after I rescued a crew truck I tried my hardest to get them to buy me a winch, no luck though :(

No problem Mike. I don't think they are willing to pay for mods necessarily but tires, services, and routine maintenance have been authorized for the time being. They are in the process of trying to generalize what the managers receive company wide so I didn't get the car allowance/company vehicle that I was expecting so this is sort of an interim solution. I'm not sure they quite realize how much tires for my vehicle cost however. I guess they are about to find out. I have a feeling that after I expense the first two I will be left holding the bag on the rest. Especially since you can buy a full set of tires for most vehicles for what two trail grapplers cost.

Installed 2 LifeHammers. 1 for me, and 1 for the poor soul riding with me if we ever have to use them...

Yes indeed

we replaced the driver side rear reflector where the plug connector had been damaged by the jack or something

and then we installed the rear fender pocket to prevent such damage in the future

Managed to get the new cb and antenna installed between all the raindrops.
