Sue, Captain and I went up to the top of Keystone Ski area. Finally took the 4Runner off road. It's really big on the trail and I missed not having 4WD. But a very smooth ride and it was great having the snowflakes come in from the sunroof!

Just installed DT catback. Its loud with the headers. I will see if it grows on me or not. Might add a resonator to the end.

Also, i think i might have to reduce my 1" body lift to a 1/2". The collapsible part of the steering shaft (looks like a shock boot) is just barely kissing my DT headers and causing some light grinding noise/feeling.
Should go ten times faster now that i know everything to do .

Layton, there are several variations on the Doug Thorley headers. Long or short. Ceramic and two types of metal. What'd you go with? Would the choice for the FJ be any different in your opinion?

Not for the 100 series.
The reason for long/short headers on the FJC are because the first set of cats are attached to the exhaust manifolds, then 02 sensor, then another set of cats in the y-pipe, then another set of 02 sensors.

The 100 just has one set of cats that are in their own section of pipe, so no cats attached to the headers. So there is only one style to choose from. I just mentioned this in the body lift thread and another guy has DT headers and he does not have any clearance problems.

Let's see how happy he is when he is a Human Popsicle.

Thanks Jason. I will shoot you a PM tomorrow about the unused spare Tire I have for sale if you are still interested. I think they are going for $310ea or something like that at Discount Tire Direct and I am sure I can do way better than that. I'll be in touch.
