So I finally got rid of the dreaded retractable antenna and I installed this one instead.

I used the DDM tuming Kit to upgrade my PIAA 520s to 5000k HID

DDM tuning has good products. I've been running their HID replacement bulbs for a while now with no color degradation. I just purchased their HID retro kit with slim ballasts for only 35 for the GX. I'm excited to see it installed.

I'm out of my depth with the ordering of this kit. I have no idea which bulb I am supposed to order for this project and is a 55watt HID bulb really brighter than the 130 watt bulbs I currently have. I guess it is or no one would make the conversion or is it just so you get that true white/blue light instead of the old school yellow?

Incandescent bulbs need 130 watts of power to achieve the same brightness because it is a fairly inefficient way of producing light. Quite a bit of that power is turned directly into heat. HID's utilize a plasma gas to produce the light instead of forcing electricity through a wire that has high resistance.

So yes, they are that much brighter without using all that electricity. As far as choosing the bulb.....I have no idea. What size bulb is in there currently?

Washed the Gator.

Lowered radiator due to body lift, had to drill some new holes and adjust and fabricate some new brackets.

Installed a steering shaft spacer.

Raised up the ARB bumper.

And dear lawd it was all a huuuuuuge PITA.
