What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Replaced the throttle cable. Should have done it years ago.:D Wow, what a difference.

If your pedal has much resistance, it probably needs a new cable.

Replaced all ignition parts with era correct parts, got the factory fuel pump working, and ordered new belt, hoses, and alternator. Hopefully next week I can order my quarter panels from CCOT and install them so I can move forward on fabricating a rear sill. Already made all the parts just need the panels to build the sill correctly. Seems like the engine was a good runner before its last stop to the RUST MOTEL. I'm really looking forward to the transmission to be in just as good of shape. I'll report back in 7days.

Well all my parts arrived so I decided to install my winch and wire up the Runva solenoid.

Here's how I mounted the solenoid.

All wired up.

Socket for the remote.

All spooled up and ready to go.

You did a good job. It looks awesome.

Trying to keep my girls from stealing it

Allgoodian....that is awesome, warms my heart.....don't look at it as them stealing it, look at it as an opportunity when they are 16 to ADD to your stable!!!!

Also fixed my rusty floorpan.

CCOT has rear sills for 40 as well

Is that fiberglass? Is it going to hold up like steel would?

I've got 4 layers of fiberglass cloth top and bottom. Don't have a welder and can't afford to have someone do it for me right now. Just bought a house. I'm planning on redoing it in a year or so. And it's surprisingly strong.

Final touch came in the mail today.

I saw an Australian cruiser that had a warn sticker on the motor. I liked it so I decided to do the same.

Finished repainting the grill, fan and fan shroud. Added the new Toyota logo to the grill. Flushed the engine water jacket with pure muriatic acid ready to reassemble the cooling system with all new components and install my Trollhole carb. Hopefully do that this week.
