If you're dealing with teens, old is late 30's early 40's. Used to be in a morning, masters swim group at the local high school. We were all early 40's. We'd all shower and get ready for work in the locker room. Once school started the kids would come in first thing, while we were still in there. One day I heard one of the kids say to a friend, "What's with the naked old guys in here?"

Finished the floor and bolted in the seats. Then hitched up the new M101 after raising the lunette to the higher position.
Got some custom cables in from @Fourrunner and they’re perfect. I ended up using 3 grounds this time (spare engine mount bolt hole in the block, frame and fender). Got them swapped in and the truck fired up very quickly. I guess this is what 950cca is supposed to be like.

I plan to use similar connectors once I have a battery mounted. The head lights I bought need separate wires for the DRLs and the Toyota wiring harness also have wires that connect directly to the battery.
Your 40 has been inspiration for my restoration. Gotta be one of the best looking trucks on MUD

I had considered just doing the glue as well. The more I thought about it I decided the amount of vibration and torquing the fiberglass will experience during driving, I did just want the glues adhesion to the bottom surface of the cap. The rivets will give the best mechanical hold, and the sikaflex will just be an extra level of sealant to the stuff on top of the rivets.

So.....it's been 100°F + around here in East Texas last couple of weeks and dude.....my back it's WET with sweat after a short drives!! I forgot how hot Vinyl seats were back when I was a kid in the 70's with no AC but n my parents car!!! So I ordered these old school wooden bead "seat covers" that I remember seeing people using back then. Didn't want to do a modern seat cover so I'm trying these out and they had them in gray + . So far so good with a great deal of cooling and no sweaty back when the wife and I go out to I our local pub.

I had these same beads in my 79’ Cherokee … loved them … summer and winter … not so much when they grab your leg hairs with shorts on lol … youll like them … most people who sat in pass seat loved them as well
Bypassed the heater core and got the shop vac out and got most of the flakey rust and out now that it’s dried. Went for a spin with the kick vents open without being in a dust storm and it was reasonably comfortable on a 93 degree day
