Hoping my knuckle rebuild and disk brake conversion comes out as nice as @Slapshot …terrific

Picked these up this week for each side to add to the arsenal for the time I can do my brake conversion on the ‘75 front drums, differential swap and knuckle rebuilds. @orange45 , I will be in touch about the suspension and terrain tamer springs shortly, thank you for the invite to discuss those

Thank you sir!

Happy to help.

She looks bad to the bone! Where did you purchase those fender flares?
See the post above yours...where he answers that exact question.

Those SOR flares are well worth the price. Previous owner cut the rear fenders and had cheap, painted bushwacker flares mounted. I managed to crack both learning to off road and replaced them with these SOR flares around 1999. Tough and flexible, I've rubbed rocks and stumps with mine on tight trails and they have survived with only a minor scratch or two for many years. Personally dislike cut fenders but if you are stuck with them like me, these flares will work well.

I had hoped to swap on the carburetor that I bought from @bryce112 on Monday, but I put all the energy I had into @daveb project for two days. Then the rains came. Finally had some time this afternoon to do the deed. I had a newer carb on there with the transition linkage, so I had to round up a return spring and bracket for the earlier design. Luckily I am on good terms with this quirky old hippie in Burbank that has an amazing stash of parts. :grinpimp:

I wish my exhaust manifold/exhaust looked that clean.

PSA. I never took the time before to compare an NOS return spring with the aftermarket one offered by a mud vendor. Frankly, I did not realize I still had one to make the comparison!😛The aftermarket spring is both shorter and more importantly, higher in spring pressure.

Knowing how many carburetors I rebuild that have worn throttle bodies, and that THAT spring exerts pressure against that exact wear point, I would not be comfortable offering that part for that purpose, and will take those out of the carburetor section of my shop. Thankfully I have never offered that part for sale.
