Today, replaced the manifold gasket(s). Had been running the Remflex gasket, did not work for me. Probably operator error. So I got a pair of Fel-Pro gaskets and a can of Copper Coat. I also had 6 of the metric plugs for the air rail holes, and while the manifolds were off, put those in too. Replacing the 1/4" NPT plugs I'd had in there.

Nice, what size thread are those allen plugs?

Dunno. months ago I threw an old air rail in the Pig and drove to the good metric store. I said "I need plugs" he said "OK, here". I said thanks.

JIS / 1/4" British Standard Parallel Pipe was the answer the last time it came up on Mud. Basically, metric only exists for spark plugs. JIS piggybacks the British system in the most meaningful specs.

Toyota sells the proper delete plug without threads on the tip - like the air rail has. I like the ones that I got from Jim C, which came with two air cleaner plugs, one which I could use on the nozzle of my Blitz plastic Jerry can. I needed a fractional set of Allen wrenches to install the plugs.

That was Saturday. Yesterday I drove it to my parent's house.. 16 miles total or so. THen drove it to work this morning. 20 miles around trip. I plan to daily it to work for the next few weeks... get the shakedown done so I can actually take it on a trip this summer! Been a LONG and frustrating year and a half, but man... I am totally in love with the 2FE. So much better then the turd 350 was. So strange to cold start my cruiser in the morning, and have it start in half a second and idle perfect... but strange in an awesome way.
