Removed the rock rings from my new-to-me rock warriors. I'm liking the look a lot, I think they're going to stay off. Of course the finish underneath is fubar. Looks like more than half the paint is gone after a preliminary cleaning.

Does anyone know a good paint or plasti-dip color match for the stock Toyota grey color? I would like to do the center caps too.

Few weeks back, just getting to posting it up. New wheels and tires. Method 703’s with +35mm offset. Buddy of mine offloaded his Wrangler take-off 285/70R17 KO2’s which had ~5k miles on them already. Little rubbing on plastic bits I still have to massage out of the way. Stock everything else.

Glad I’m not the only one that thinks this way. It’s a problem at my house already sourcing a 200 for the wife, and this gets me thinking that clearly my daughters will need 100 series when they start driving, right?!
While taking my kids to school last week we passed a house down the road from us with a super clean 100 series in the yard with a “For Sale” sign… I sent my wife a picture. It was gone by lunch.

There are a few white haired ladies who drive babied 200’s in our town… I see them at the grocery store and the old lady hair salon. There is still hope we can get a nice used one when their ignorant family take their keys and sell that old and dated gas hog suv.

Stuffed some new rubber into my wheel wells. Falken Wildpeak AT3W LT 275/70/18…. Ino surprise the mud wised on/research was perfect, they passed the very scientific “finger clearance test” that the local shop did after mounting and installing.

Super happy with the stance, going’s to load range E from the non-LT Wildpeak i had likely will impact stiffness and MPV but worth it for me.

Maybe gained 1.5-1.75 inches due to slightly larger size and because my old ones were at end of life depth.

Not gonna lie, I was regretting my Indy shop choice once my baby was held up on all fours by Pittsburg HF jacks withought any fail safes…. But saved some coin that can be spent on the next fun cruiser project!

ODO 226,180 miles

(Several weeks back) Made the pilgrimage to @sleeoffroad. Got these installed at the front end of a 2-week CO vacation. No more OEM running boards - in their place are some great Slee formed sliders (with the light kit of course!). Huge improvement, so sturdy and still stealthy. Didn’t put them to any hard tests yet, but I love this upgrade. Looking forward to years of service.

I finally got my Rigid SAE 20 inch light bar mounted. First, I removed the front cover - just push the center of the clips down and they will pull right out. I then removed the grill - there are You Tube videos on how to do that. I found that I was going to have to mount the brackets for the light bar directly on top of two of the bumper fascia mounts. I removed the reinforcing "ramp" on the outside of the mounts and then drilled my holes through the plastic mounts and the metal brace. I then bolted down the light brackets and mounted the light bar. Sorry for the poor focus.

Routed the wiring harness best I could and then had to feed the section for the switch through the firewall. It has five wires with connectors already attached to the ends. I wrapped them all together as tightly as I could and then taped a stiff copper wire to the end. I then wrapped all of that with tape. With considerable help from my son and a liberal application of plumbing silicon grease, I was able to get the fat wire through the skinny nipple. It was a real pain fishing the wire through and around all of the other stuff behind the dash. Removing a few of the dash panels and switch block really helped. Again there are You Tube videos on that.

I was able, just, to drill a 3/4 inch hole in one of the unused switch covers and mount the supplied switch.

Not particularly happy with the appearance but I could not find a three-way Toyota small switch anywhere. All I found were push on-off.

I did not wire it to the high beam circuit to only come on with the high beams. Maybe later. I want to first try it wired straight to the battery to be used independently for now. No, I'm not going to be on of those jerks who turns it on all the time, blinding other drivers. This is going to be an off-road only thing.

I hope the grill will not block too much of the light. Will have to experiment with that. I mounted it back a bit from the grill as I do not know how much heat the light will give off and did not want to risk damaging the grill. I can move it about an inch closer if needed.

Of course, the wiring harness is rather long and for now, I had to put it in a tight roll, along with the two relays and placed it all in the empty space below the brake system. Will tidy that all up later and get the relays properly mounted.

Going to test it all out later tonight. Too bright now to see how the aim is and the spread.

Added AliExpress console side pockets and ShearComfort seat covers.

My first impression of the side pockets when unboxing was 'obnoxiously cheap'... but they blend in incredibly well and that impression faded. Having storage and decluttering that center stack has been amazing. If I had one remaining nitpick it's the front and back edges -- those hard 90* angles don't blend in well with the gentle curves of the interior.

The seat covers just went on. We'll see how they do in Houston's 100* weather. So far they feel good but also have a slight odor to them -- maybe the backing glue? I'm not sure.

What's the back look like?

Finally got around to installing air couplers front and rear. Previously just had the one coupler underneath the hood, which worked ok. However, when airing up the Patriot trailer, I would have to use a second air hose to get to reach the tires.

Parts used:
Brackets made from 2"x2"x1/8" angle aluminum.
Viair bulkhead fitting
ARB air coupler
Tailonz air fittings and hose

What's the back look like?

There's the back. It's been a couple of weeks now with scorching temperatures in Houston. I'm a fan. They're even cooler than the fabric upholstery normally found in cars -- and please note 'cooler' means 'not as hot', not 'cool'.

I also got my Carpuride cables run behind the dash. I was REALLY surprised how easy it was to take apart the dash. Big thanks to BeatSonic's video for that.

These are the best finds! They’re out there

What did I do to my 200 this week?
I decided not to sell it that's what

I will keep the LX 570 and GRJ79 as the 300 stable mates but the 3 100s are going.

I'll probably end up getting another 300 down the line to replace the LX but 3 cars is more than enough for the time being .

Put down a deposit on 4.88's and front/rear e-lockers. They'll be going in next week.

This blows my "buy a replacement 80" budget, so I guess I'm committing the minivan at this point. Kind of more bittersweet than I imagined :happysad:

Finally after a couple years of ownership, I unbolted the front seats and pulled them back, changed out the filters under them and cleaned the carpeting. Coffee made the pass. side brown and that cleaned up pretty good but check out the blood.....
I'll bet there is a story there.

Who is doing the work?

Who is doing the work?

Colorado Axle and Gear. I found the shop searching on Rising Sun. Their price is very fair after some calling around, but it's still an expensive upgrade. :edit:

?? We stock and install the Eaton for the 200/570 very regularly. We wire them using the factory e-locker switch and dash fascia.
