Love it!

Thanks Cody.

Slee Sliders!!!

My sliders arrived on Thursday, so I’m sure you all know I was chomping at the bit for the weekend to come. Well. I’m not going to say this was an easy install, at some points it was really frustrating, but I will say that I volunteered myself into quite a bit more work than I think Slee intended (what can I say, I’m an overachiever :D)…

Here’s what I did different than the instructions:

· The sliders come with 16 riv-nuts, but since there are plenty more holes in the frame and sliders than that, I proceeded to use every possible mounting hole. In all, I believe I installed 26 riv-nuts! Since there’s pretty much no way to get a drill into many of the upper holes, I enlarged the existing frame holes with a right angle die grinder.

· The sliders are supplied with silver screws to mount the footboard to the tubular frame and I’m not really into that look so I ordered some black stainless screws instead. I feel as if it’s a huge improvement.

· Replaced many of the factory bolts with my own bolts as opposed to using up the ones provided. This left me with more matching bolts for the riv-nuts.

Damn man. Overachiever indeed! lol :)

Last week I put on 2,200 miles going to FJ summit in Ouray Colorado. I have had the 200 off road and very rough back roads, but never did the type of wheeling I did in Colorado. As expected it did very well. For not having a lift and only sliders, rear bumper and 285's I was very impressed as was my wife. The approach angle is very good and never had any issues there, but the fat ass got to hit the ground a few times as did the sliders, but that is why they are there. I really want to lift it now, but waiting to see the final release price on the BP-51's. My wife and son were very comfortable the whole trip and that makes for a better road trip. The Bluetooth unit and nav bypass I installed saved my life on this trip since my son always wants to watch his movies on the DVD player. Did not have to pull over or stop to change the movie and streaming Pandora is awesome.

Cool summit pics!

After a lot of searching for alternatives it looks as if we are joining the club  People are going to start to think these things are standard on 200s LOL

I really like it. Much higher quality than the ARB I installed last month. I am impressed.
Andrew,
Can you shoot an image of the underside where it mates up with the front skid? I'm wondering if the TJM will mate with the ARB skids I have on.

Thanks!

Yeah, but they are so pretty! :)
Actually they are strong, light, look great, have a nice offset, and were made for these vehicles.....what's not to love!? (except the price point!)
I've had mine on for a week and love the look.....so does my wife (phew!)

Would you mind also taking pics of the front of the ARB skids? I'm curious if it is compatible with my Proline bumper/bash. I just asked Slee for pics this morning actually - but if it's handy for you I'd appreciate it.

Exactly why I got mine. Can't go wrong with these after researching forever on aftermarket.

I'm not sure you want a pic of mine; I have not installed the TJM skids, as I am waiting to wire my lights first and get my winch.

I fought it too, but could not resist the power of the dark side.

So true! I am looking for a take off set too! Anyone have a lead on 4 to 5? I know there are some on eBay and I can buy new.

Just a word of caution: Be very careful you are not buying Chinese replicas. There are lots of TRD RWs and newer Tacoma TRD models flooding the market just now that look a dead ringer but are in fact not forged nor correct offset. Being forged is the single biggest reason to get the TRDs. You can buy replicas for $100 on Alibaba. Bet a lot are then resold as genuine article. They even have stamped "forged" on the faux stainless ring. Most of the Rock Warrior knockoffs come with the inner spokes painted in charcoal black rather than gun metal grey.

Pulled the trigger. Found 4 brand new. I need fifth one. What is the part number for the lugs and sticker again? I'll find it. Just being lazy..

Well I did another modification on mine........sort of..... Actually, the kangaroo did most of the modifications, I just get to foot the bill afterwards. Little fat furry fawker..

Yes. Here it is. Search is not helping but I know the lugs and lock set part number is in here somewhere. I snagged a pic last night.

Here is part number for lugs. Double check though. It should 16 lugs and 4 locks. total of 20.

Thanks BTU.
00602-60110 will see if the dealer has that when I take it in for maintenance this weekend.

Did the 150k service on the 200, plus tackled a pain in the ass job. Lower comtrol arm replacement as the lower ball joint boot has finally lost all its grease. At the same time realised lower stabilizer links needed replacement so changed those as well. Bolts were as stubborn as a mountain goat and a pain to remove, marked up the bolts and snapped pics before unbolting to not mess up alignment and once all was done the alignment is only slightly out which is good enough for today and I'll get a proper alignment done over the thwweekend (Friday/Saturday)

Shiny new parts :D:

Sadly found yet another stray at the stable yard took him down to the shelter to get him fixed and we're trying to find him a home :(.
