Looking good! Now tell us about that grill!

I've got one of those grilles that I'll let go of pretty cheaply. Tried it on my salsa red LC and did not like the look. Installed, looked it over, and put it back in box. Black or grey on the other hand would look much better.

Well, the rig is going under the knife tomorrow. Toyota will be replacing my water pump and serpentine belt.
Is there anything else I need or should have them replace or look at while I'm paying for service?
thanks

I'd sure take a careful inventory and inspection (probably take detailed pictures) of hose and cable routing as well as the proper location of brackets and shrouds/covers/bolts under the hood and relating to skid plates. Make sure everything is replaced correctly when it's done.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. I interviewed the mechanic this morning and I learned he's turned a wrench on 200's before.
I went over all the things I've done to the rig. Dude seemed confident in his abilities (19 year employee) and he's a fellow Toyota off roader.
It should be good to go.

How many miles Willy? The factory calls for a coolant change at 100K so you wont need that now with the water pump change. The next service is 120K which is plugs.

Morning,
You are correct. Getting all new coolant as well and an oil change. As of the morning I have 89067 on the clock.

I could have bought a roof rack system for the cost of this service. Live long water pump, live long!

Willy, if it eases your pain, I just spent 2200 on the wife's Ford escape. Serpentine belt separated and got pulled into the timing belt pulley. Neither the crankshaft nor the camshaft have a keyway. Bolth pulleys turned on the shafts.
Not a dime covered under warranty.
My call to your fabricator for a copy of the rear bumper is going to have to wait for a while... furious with Ford.

that's no fun - sorry to hear about that.

Yeah, it bills as a 7 hour job + a good $400 in parts. It can be done in the driveway, but its pretty much a weekend job without a lift.
My wife almost left me when I installed the front bumper - no way jose am I messing around with a water pump.

With all this talk about dealer service in the "What have you done to your 200 Series this week?" thread, here is one for ya.5.7 LC short block.webp

What's the deal?

What'd I do on my 2Hundy?

Well, I bought a new rear driveline. Trying to cure the clunks.

A new block? Yikes, what happened to the old one?

Time to port and polish the heads
