Replaced my Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform with an awesome Gamiviti Rack (shown on its own and with the JB Tent on top). I'm still working on the precise placement of the tent and the height of the rack

I also ran electrical to the roof for a front LED bar, camping lights on the sides and rear, and auxiliary 12v power for the tent (USB chargers, etc.).

Impromptu camping trip Friday night (last trip with the Rhino Rack setup)

@indycole can you post photos of where you punched through the roof to pass wires? I found this online and I'm wondering what the group thinks as far as this being a suitable solution for the weatherproofing and clean finish concerns as well as quick disconnect option.

Finally got around to wiring up my front light bar and rear camp lights. I had a buddy who fabricated a mount of out a sheet of 3/16" aluminum he had (total overkill, but I think he just wanted to weld something). I promptly mangled his nice fab job by hacking out a portion so that the factory wiring harness and trunk release would route under it ok. I then mounted a Blue Sea fuse box inside a weather-resistant plastic box on it, which I drilled and grommeted (is that a word?) holes for future circuits. I didn't have any good blanks so for the moment I just used a small piece of wire to plug the unused holes. (

Biggest PITA was getting the wiring harness for the lights through the firewall. On the plus side, I'm pretty pleased with the Air On Board switches (though they seem very bright)

Can you share pictures of how you did the wires though the roof to the roof light bars?

i put my WKOR sliders on this past weekend, i got the 2x3 main rail, very stout very well made, couldn't be happier. i was given the option to do the 2x2 or 2x3 for no extra cost, really glad i went 2x3, i think they look perfect. cobalt drill bits are a must for anyone installing these, i learned the hard way and had to go back to the hardware store, (DO NOT use black oxide bits, worthless for this application). install was easy, a little time consuming to tap the two holes on each side, spacing isn't ideal for a ratchet so i was stuck using a crescent wrench. once the holes are tapped everything just bolts up, there are 6 holes on the bottom of the slider that need to be drilled on each side, and you NEED tough cobalt bits, 1/8", 1/4", and 21/64" i couldn't find a 21/64" in cobalt so i used a 5/16" cobalt and finished up with the 21/64" black oxide bit with quite a bit of effort for that extra 1/64". an impact wrench also is a must have in my opinion. the holes take thread cutting bolts, and an impact makes life quite a bit easier. still waiting on my prinsu rack, gobi ladder, and arb bumper. i've got the ARB skids and BP-51's sitting in the garage. just waiting to do the bumper before i get the BP51's installed, need to get my butt in gear, winter is coming quick

Sorry to disappoint, but I just ran a cable up the windshield C-Channel. I considered running a cable along the frame underneath the truck, but I have a tendency to keep tweaking and wanted to keep it accessible. So, no holes in the roof for me, yet.

I ran my wires in the same manor (the gap beside my windshield) and used RTV sealant to hold them in place - its removable should I ever need for whatever reason.

Even though nobody liked these FrontRunner drawers when I asked about them a while ago, the positives outweighed the negatives for me. I like that they are inexpensive and that they are a one-person install.

I like that the FrontRunner Cub Pack storage boxes fit inside the drawers which are taller than the others I looked at:

I like that there is some room between the drawers and the second row seats which allows those seats to be fully reclined without interfering with the drawers:

These drawers are not in the same league as the ARB/Outback Solutions drawers, and I understand why others would prefer them, but these work for me.

I have the ARBs after also having them on my 100 series (back before ARB bought Outback Solutions) and they are great.

BUT... Yours clearly waste less structural space, and yours are MUCH taller. Looks to me like you can fit substantially more gear in yours, and that's very cool. I couldn't even come close to fitting one of those FrontRunner bins in mine.

What brand are those? Nice looking

Can you still fold the 2nd row seats to make a sleeping platform, or is there a gap/uneven surface? Can I get a picture of the seats folded & slid back as far as they go?

His drawer surface will be substantially higher than the folded 2nd row of seats.
If you want flat...you might want to consider the ARBs.

The visual tip-off is where his drawers cover the 3rd row release levers.
-On my ARBs, the surface is well below them (see photo of mine)...and compare with the lever proximity in the FrontRunner photo...

But I would think a simple pad on the seat-backs could remedy the difference pretty easily.

If they are made of plywood the ARB will be a lot lighter. I don't think you can find a better drawer than the ARBs and I'm not sure they are much more.

So this happened last week before i left town..... it was the KIA or side of the 18 Wheeler.....

light damage but sadly the KIA actually fared better ! unfortunately it cracked both headlights that were about to go to Markuson....!!

Looks like State Farm is going to help move the bumper to the front of the list - sadly TJM is 4-5 weeks out so I'm going to have to look at other options.....
