The Tundra is not quite the same, this is due to some differences in how Toyota set-up the transmission cooling system. The Tundra does not have lower radiator tank cooler.... Just the warmer and large front mount coolers, which was moved up in front of the radiator around the 2010 model year. My assumption is that Toyota lost enough transmissions on 07 - 09 Tundras that they moved the cooler so the radiator fan could move air through it at the slow speeds when the fluid was overheating. This scenarios problem is partially corrected on the 200, since we have the lower tank radiator.... I'd still like to see the large oil to air side mount cooler recieve a fan.

I've been thinking of wiring up a radiator fan in front of the transmission cooler with a manual witch. All things I've found online advise against this because it seems people can't source decent parts to handle the load and deem it unsafe.

I find this hard to believe. Do you have any ideas for wiring up a radiator fan with a manual switch to run when in stop and go traffic or out crawling around a trail?

Had OME 2723 rear coil springs and an adjustable rear pan hard bar installed (squared up the rear end / got rid of a vibration I was feeling in slow driving / some turns). Rear went up in height 1 1/2" which may settle a bit (?). Doing this spring swap re-introduced the "rake" to my truck - currently about 2" difference in height (front to rear). Monday it goes back in the shop to address adjusting the front coil overs (adding about 1/2" - 3/4" more height gain) and installing the new version ball joint for my SPC UCA's (greasable / bit more adjustability / internal changes).

I tried installing my rear springs at home and snapped a bolt head off from the rear stabilizer end bracket (on the passenger side rear). If that happens to anyone the nut on the reverse side of the bracket is spot welded on and you can knock that off with some force and get a new nut in place and keep moving. It's not the end of the world.

The 2723's ride good for my setup, so far / only a day into it. If I see / feel any issues I'll report back on it.
thanks

Talked to TJM guy in southern California (new distribution center) and had him put a T13 bumper in the box going on the boat from down under. Now looks like I just have to wait 4 weeks to get my hands on it.

Can't wait to follow in the footsteps of all the other brave souls that have installed their own bumpers. :wrench:

Gave the truck a little tummy tuck to firm out some of the softness underneath. Might have to have the guys @ slee do a nose job this fall.

Just doing some final mock up before I send my roof rack to powder. I had to competition modify it a little first, haha. I put a radius on all the sharp corners, pre-drilled it for camp lights and I'm about to countersink all the holes on the air dam so I can use flat head hardware, all black stainless of course. Now I just need to decide between BK08 20% gloss black or BK120 10% gloss...

I call bs on a fan being "unsafe" there's nothing that should go wrong if you use a good quality fan and it's wired up properly. If the cruiser can handle a winch I'm sure the alternator can handle the additional load of an electric fan

Discovered another option for some beefy D-ring mounts up front. I was browsing CHASSIS UNLIMITED's website when I came across these bad-boys. They are 1" thick and come either drilled with mounting holes 2" apart, or you can order them blank and spend 8 drill bits drilling them yourself  . I ordered a set of both, turns out the pre-drilled unit fits fine (you'll need longer bolts though). Best part, they are $24 each, or $20 blank (still with the D-ring hole though). 2" Extra Long D-ring/Clevis Mount I will be using these to weld my bumper light-bar I am creating onto.

120,000 mile service @ 109,000 miles - by the time this Moab / Ouray trip is over I'll be closer to the 120 mark so why not do it now
checked heater T's
Flushed out the injectors / cleaned throttle body
new Rad w/ coolants
new rear coils
check this / check that
New adjustable pan hard bar
New SPC ball joint assembly
cranked up the front coil overs
Alignment and brakes
charged AC
Had some supports welded to my rear swing out - that killed the tire bounce @ hwy speeds
Made a quick disconnect for the back up camera wiring harness should I want to remove the swing out
Might even wash her and put a coat of wax on

I need to do a oil change, lube drive shafts, rotate tires and perform inspection prior to Moab/Ouray trip. It will get done this weekend.

Had one of mine under coated this week. Mainly to stop or hide the surface rust. I am planning to do the other one soon. These things are really quite anyway, but I did seem to notice that it seems little quieter yet after the treatment.
Don't know much about what they used, only one place around here even does them. They only charge 150. I had them coat the rear axle housing as well and few other areas they don't normally treat, so mine ran $189.00.

Had some additional supports welded in on the swing out to try and kill the 60-70mph rear swing out wobble that happens sometimes. Had to cut my relocated backup camera wiring harness to take my swing out off.
So, I experimented with a quick disconnect / plug that enables me to do this whenever I feel the need to not have my swing out on the truck. A trailer wiring plug is the ticket. Soldered the ends together and it works like a champ. Great news for anyone that's been thinking about how to accomplish this task.

Met up with our fearless Moderator @beno ; he gave me a truckload of FJ40 parts I had ordered.

Then we worked on a buddy's 1968 fj40--assembling the engine and installing it.

Picked up a companion for LC200. It's 1994 FZJ-FE 80 series with 329k on clock. It will be multi year project.

Congrats! I was just looking at an 80 last night. I think the wife is leaning towards the 40 though...

Replaced cabin air filter and found a hole in the filter...looked up what it would look like if a rat/mouse was chewing on it and it's the same look. I saw droppings near the head lights so there was one running around prior to me purchasing the 200. Hope I didn't take him home.

Got my 2013+ headlight and looks like I need to clean it out due to some dead bugs stuck inside.

What should I do today? Any suggestions?
