@Slashzero lol. I am literally running out of mods to do...... that’s only reason why

Installed Timbren extended bump stops in there rear to keep my 35’s from rubbing when wheeling.

A few weeks late, but installed a roof rack from @benc and a grill from @kelly saad. Somehow they managed to coordinate shipping so both arrived within a day of each other!

On to some wiring and chasing down a front end clunk.

This is one of my favorite 100s on the forum, love the look!

Nothing to it directly because it isn't mine yet. But, I did buy a plane ticket and a temp transport tag so I can go pick it up. Does that count?

Started pinstripe removal tonight which have probably been on the truck since new. Not coming off easily. :bang: Unfortunately I let the heat gun go too long on one area and I actually gouged a little of the paint by accident just under the mirror, so pissed about that one!!! Now I know what not to do....

OMG put the heat gun away! Use this: 3M™ Stripe Off Wheel | 3M United States

Available here and everywhere fine auto parts are sold: https://www.amazon.com/3M-03612-Adhesive-Eraser-Wheel/dp/B005RNGN8I

Yesterday, I replaced my brittle and broken license plate lights with brand new OEM ones.

I received my Harbor Freight LP 3-Ton jack, and pair of 6-ton jack stands. One of my jack stands has uneven feet on a the diagonal, so you can rock it back and forth maybe a quarter inch? I’m worried about using it.

Now I’m on a family trip, and the rental ended up being a Chevy Suburban. Feels wrong driving it around, and I don’t like the way it handles, even though it is fairly new (8300 miles). I miss my LC. The Suburban feels weak, but I guess I’m spoiled.

Tracking shows my heater hoses finally arrived. I have the metal Ts, new hoses, and clamps. Finally will replace them, when I get home this weekend, so I can stop worrying about them.

I also need to figure out what the rattle is during acceleration under load (loaded with people, going up hill). It’s definitely coming from the rear. I wonder if it’s the liftgate or tail gate? I can’t pin down where it is coming from. Anyone have some guesses?

Check your catalytic converter heat shields - common issue on these vehicles, and can make weird noises under load. You can check by banging on your exhaust with a rubber mallet and listening for rattles.

My contribution to this thread: bought my 100 series a Warn M12000, and I’m still waiting on my Escape Gear covers to clear customs.

Great idea! I will try this and see if I can hear the noise. Unfortunately I’m out of state for the remainder of the week, with a rental.

Replaced the engine mounts, and a couple of burned out bulbs in switches and the bulb that illuminates gear selector in the console.

Engine mounts should be checked
at 90k intervals. Mine were both split from the bonding surface on 3 sides at 187k miles.

Installed swayaway torsion bars on my LX after riding on the stock AHC bars for 6 months. Previous owner removed AHC system and replaced suspension with coils and shocks, but forgot to change the torsion bars.
The difference in ride comfort was completely night and day. Truck corners flat, does not nose dive on braking or acceleration and no longer sways on the highway over small potholes and turns. Can feel bumps a bit more but nothing drastic. I cant believe it took me this long to do it...

Running it with a 1" rake. 22" at the rear and 21" at the front (hub to fender)
Trailered my motorcycle 700 miles the day after. (not pictured) :bounce:

Any info on the install?

Any info on the install?

Followed the advice of this thread (For those with torsion bar questions) to help visualize the steps.
Basically just 3 screws on each side. 1 30mm adjuster bolt in the rear, and 2 22/23 mm bolts in the front. Start by removing the adjuster bolt in the rear torque arm, then the front 2 bolts holding the lower control arm mount. I had to use a hammer and air gun to separate the bars from the mounts. Installation is the reverse process. Draw in a master spline on the new bar with a marker, advance it 5 splines at the rear (like the picture below). Line up the spline in the front with the master spline on the control arm mount and rear torque arm and reinstall. L is driver, R is passenger.

After installation i lowered the vehicle and tightened / loosened the adjuster bolt in the torque arm until i reached my desired front ride height.
There are also several videos on youtube that demonstrate this whole process, might be work checking out of its something in your future.

Does ordering stuff count???

Ordered some White Knuckle sliders, Nitto Ridge Graplers (275/70/18), Vais SiriusXM & Vais bluetooth streaming kits, and speaker re-foam kits for the doors.

speaker re-foam kits for the doors.

Where did your get these? My speakers sounded fine 3 weeks ago, but since then I’ve been blasting tunes via the tape deck, and now the PS front speaker sounds blown. :-(

I probably will need to replace all of them.

Think it depends on ML vs non-ML system. I have the ML audio so for me it is:
Front: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009DNMZNK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=ihco-20
Rear: 2000-2009 Lexus LX470 Rear Speaker Foam Surround Repair Kit 86160-0W280 RH | eBay

I will post up to confirm these work once I receive them!

Nice! I wasn’t aware there were repair kits. Much cheaper than new speakers.

How can I tell which system I have in my 2003 LC?

Just has a JBL logo.

Listed it for sale!

Check it out in the classified section or here on the CL add.

Long story short, need a kitchen remodel and no time to wheel with a 9 month old baby...... so maybe another build in a couple years, we shall see. I am not giving it away, so who knows if it sells anytime soon?!?
