Picked up a sibling for my '06 last weekend. A 2001 LX with 144k miles. AHC pump, two accumulators and one shock were toast so she got to be carried all the way home. Used my old (now brothers) 2006 LBZ Duramax to rip it down the highway. Man, forgot how much fun diesels are.

My girlfriend was looking for a new car and when I caught her looking at Jeeps, I knew I had to intervene. My best friend needed to upgrade from this 2001 to a truck to tow his boat so the timing worked out perfect. Looking forward to baselining and lifting this one. Will probably start a dedicated thread as parts come in.

Did you go with the Medium or Constant option on those springs? I just picked up a Jayco 174BH (also 3500#) and my OME springs (don't know which ones are back there) sag quite a bit. Thinking new springs and a weight distribution hitch will get me all squared away.

I’m using Air Lift 1000 air bags with my medium lift and it works perfect. I don’t use the bags when unloaded. But get endless adjustment when I need them.

I have on my thread if you want to see how they fit. I towed a pop up last month with full family and the ride was great.

View attachment 1682420 Picked my truck up from the hotel valet this morning, and was greeted with this lovey sight

welp. Went and got my estimates today. Apparently the clip points on the bumper on that side snapped, which I can plainly tell now when I look at the above picture. So everybody quoted me for replacing the bumper to the tune of about $900.

So we'll see how this goes. Now I'm expecting a fight.

Sorry to hear that, but give them a fight and don't back down until you have a $1000 check in your hands; I wouldn't settle for anything less. Go up the chain of command if need be (the 20yr olds that park/joyride them are clueless anyway). Heck I'd bring it up with the hotel manager too. I don't take other people treating my vehicles like sh*t very lightly.

Well the tough dog tourflex are a progressive spring and are rated as “heavy”. The progressive part is in simple terms is it reacts to additional weight in accordance with the weight. Check with @reevesci for the details and his recommendation. I’m very pleased with them.

I wanted to try it without the weight distribution arms thing and see how it goes. So far it seems good but I have had little to no highway speeds yet. I’m not worried about weight, just the possible trailer overreaction to extra steering input (fishtailng).

You'd want the heavies as @cmck has. I have both 2" and 3" in stock.

Yes, I’m not looking forward to this. They’re going to look at other damage on the bumper and claim it was already broken, which it wasn’t. But I don’t think I have any pictures that show the bumper recently where I can prove that.

Its situations like this that i'm glad i run 2 dash cams in all my vehicles. Hoping it pans out for you. I know how it feels to know it was their fault and yet still have to deal with their counter arguments.

fortunately, they already acknowledged that they did indeed hit something, and I have pictures from the morning I got it back that clearly shows concrete dust on the bumper in addition to the "scratch" they acknowledged.

I broke my trim around my headlights too. I had them replaced, but saved money by just having a body shop paint the pieces a semigloss black. Actually looks pretty clean behind the ARB. Just an option.

That's a great idea - I might just try that myself.

Which dash cam do you have?

Look on the bright side, you're getting close to the cost of an aftermarket upgrade.

A few weeks late, but installed a roof rack from @benc and a grill from @kelly saad. Somehow they managed to coordinate shipping so both arrived within a day of each other!

On to some wiring and chasing down a front end clunk.

Damn! Those Dissent racks and the Grills from Kelly are money! I love my Gamiviti rack, but the Dissent is super sweet looking. Would have gone that route had it been available at that time. As for the grill.....I have an LX, so I'm out of luck. Otherwise, I'd have one of those in a heartbeat!

As an aside, what rear bumper are you running?

Pretty sure it's a rear dissent

@geanes dissent indeed. I built out backwards from most folks in going with the rear after ripping the running boards, but had to get the spare where it belongs.

Just got my ScanGauge in for the Lexus. Have had one for years on the Land Cruiser.

Hoping I can figure out how to access the Xcodes and come up with something that will provide me with Transmission Temperatures. Seems that is kind of 'hit or miss' depending upon year model and what codes are tried.
