Did the "street sign" mod to my mirror the other day...Much better visibility when the glass is in shards I can see every angle now, they're basically like tow mirrors. Highly recommend this
I have a "light bar drop down" for my Gamiviti rack, but I decided I didn't want to have to remove the fairing every time I wanted to use the light bar, so I opted for a slim single-row 50" light bar on top of the rack. I had to weld on my own custom brackets, but I think it came out pretty good. It is an combo flood/driving light I found on Ebay. It is far enough forward that I can still throw my roof top box up there, and far enough back that it doesn't shine on the hood. The thing is SUPER BRIGHT!
For the rock lights, I installed LUX Monsters. Went with 4 on each side for a total of 8. Installed by running all of the wiring through the frame rails. Each light comes with 10' of cord so I daisy chained them together and had plenty of wire. The LED's are encased inside a rock-hard resin with a super strong magnet on the back, so you can literally slap them on just about any flat surface and they are solid. The magnets are so strong I actually cut myself trying to re-position one of them... the light snapped into place on the frame and pinched some skin. All in all the install was very easy if you are handy with a soldering iron and cable fishing tool. Really happy with the light output, but ordering from LUX was a PITA. From my experience, they have 0 customer service. Had to issue a claim on PayPal to get my items shipped. But so far the product is great, so I'm still a happy camper.
Everything is hooked up to my Switch-Pros sp9100. I have the device programmed so the rock lights turn on when I hit the unlock button or open a door. It's still light out on the west coast, but I'll snap some night pics and post a bit later.

Hahah I'm an idiot and just wasn't paying attention to the road and side swiped it at about 40mph. Luckily it didn't actually break the mirror assembly, just the glass when it folded inward. Because of that it only cost me about $55 for the replacement glass as opposed to the ~$200 for the entire mirror assembly.
For anyone else who is curious the passenger side mirror glass pn is 87931-60801; the drivers side glass is 87961-60840. I cross-checked these pn's with later years and all the websites say it's compatible with years '03-'07 as well, but purchase at your own risk. Good as new now!
Two separate covers needed to be purchased. "Cooler Cover #1, 88891-60040", which is the small filter cover and "Cooler Cover #2, 88891-60050", which is the cover to the airbox itself.
I thought that I got a couple of pix of the cover #1 but I didn't.
Trying to make a deal on my landlords 2000 LX.... 85K on the ticker... 100% original, one owner and all maintenance, even tires and rotation done by the local dealer. Not even a door ding on this beauty.
1229 miles round trip to Terlingua, TX for a couple days riding motorcycles in the desert. The riding was fantastic and 20 hrs of road tripping was more than tolerable in the 100. I'm installing my air bags next weekend.
Came across this thing in the middle of nowhere. Mercedes emblem on front.
