New BFG ATs - 285 / 75 R 16
I have now come full circle. Back to 16 inch alloys with BFG ATs. This is the exact set up I ran 10 years ago on my previous 100s.

Got it on a scale. Driver, fridge, tools, compressor and recovery gear on board.

I replaced all the plugs... next, I have to replace at least one coil pack.

I....used it to jump a big diesel box truck stranded at the diesel pumps today.

dressed up the front cup holders with some cork drawer lining i had leftover. the cork sheet has a sticky back and may provide less rattle when riding down the road.

Has anyone else noticed how hot the bottom of the cup holders get when driving at least an hour? Any ideas on insulating?

Yea - a common problem IMO.

I've noticed a slight decrease in heat below the center console since tearing the interior apart and putting in some sound insulation front to back (Dynamat Extreme and Dynaliner).

However, after doing that the console insert (w/ the cup holder) is a little tight and sits a little higher than previously. So am going to remove the dynaliner layer and see if that fixes it.

BTW - Nice tip on the cork. How does it clean up?

I have not had to clean the cup holders yet, but I used it in bathroom drawers and it cleans dried toothpaste easily with a damp rag. I just hope the adhesive holds up with the hot and cold changes.

Question: why would you need to dynamat the entire vehicle? Would that be extremely heavy?

I shattered the front windshield trying to remove the rear view mirror mount :( The existing (not sure if it's factory or not) auto dimming mirror with compass is jacked up. About 3/4 of it is dimmed as if something hit it or the the internals separated. I found an exact replacement but the base is different (maybe almost exact then). No big deal... just remove the old windshield mount, glue another on, bingo... mirror replaced. Not exactly...

All you have to do is twist right? Um, no... it tore a chunk right out of the windshield and then about a 3' crack began to grow across and down. I have an appt. with Safelight on Tuesday...

The windshield was in good shape before I fixed it

Definitely a "want", not a "need". Kind of an audiophile. It's not too heavy - maybe just the front doors though. I went overboard on them, that's for sure.
