What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Replaced the antenna mast (AKA Rod & Pipe, sealed w/ cable, 86337-60151). Damn car washes...

Anyway, far simpler than the 80 series replacement...if you get it started on the first try. Otherwise, you're pulling the fender liner.

...the teeth face forward, not rearward, as stated in the service manual.

Finally got my Baja Designs dome lights wired up to the aux battery. Had mounted them a few months ago. #havinglittlekidsdoesthat

I’m a weekend warrior AT BEST, but feeling pretty good about replacing the browning radiator and thermostat on my 2005 with 240k mi. yesterday.

I grabbed a MX spec rad on sale for $284, and was easily able to follow YouTube tips from LandCruiserDIY, ChowCares, and Timmy the Toolman.

Added some JDM/aus spec vibes. Not sold on the window visors yet but we’ll see. They were cheap if I want to take the off. Wanted the side markers for DC drivers more than anything. Especially after adding front and rear bumpers.

Seems like with every car I detail that has these, they’re always peeling off/away from the vehicle.

Nice rig though.

New set of rubber for the ol girl

Stuck with the 305/70R16 size and Load E, but stepped back from MT (BFG KM3) to an AT (Falken Wildpeak AT4). MTs made it to 50K before they were unbearable, generally noisy and rough at all speeds. They were great off the pavement, but given she spends 90% of the time on paved highways I couldn't justify sticking with MTs of any kind. Oh, and the KM3's were hell to balance, always had a slight vibration between 65-75.

Loving the Wildpeaks so far. Though I've only put maybe 25 miles on them it's a world of difference. I see myself wanting to take another long trip sometime in the near future.

EDIT: Oh..... and did a rear axle seal and emergency brake shoes last weekend

Hey, I know this is super old but I’m having a heck of a time figuring out the clip/hook on the rear passenger quarter panel. I have a 2001 lx and it’s missing the cargo net hook at the very back pax side, so panel is loose. There’s just a hole with no fastener or nut in the metal behind. When I look up my vin on partsouq or in the fsm it doesn’t show the hook just a clip at the bottom. Even if I got a hook it doesn’t fasten into anything since there’s nothing in the hole to hold it. Am I missing something?? The driver side hook fastens into something, but I can’t find a diagram or part number for whatever it is.

On my 2004 LX the diagram for this on Partsouq for this area is called "Side member." The part number for the screws behind the cargo net hooks for my '04 is 6253160010, you could also search that PN and see if it pops up when you enter your vin in Partsouq. Below is what I see for my '04, not sure whether this is consistent with your '01.

The hooks on my '04 in gray are 6472560010B0 in case the screw part number above doesn't work for you.

Thanks so much! I wonder if someone swapped the trim panels in my car? I’ll dig a bit on partsouq with those part numbers. I’m about to pull most of the interior trim and carpet to clean and fix rattles and this part has been a pain in my a**.

Sure thing! I had this area apart a little while ago to remove my DVD player and pull 3rd row seatbelts so got pretty familiar with this area.

The whole panel that covers the wheel well on my '04 is 6250360080B0, and when I search that PN it shows that it fits '03 to '07 so you may be onto something with the wrong year panel installed on your '01 and therefore no place to bolt it down in the back.

Ok that’s what I was thinking too. This was a project car I picked up and now I’m starting on interior and exterior cosmetic stuff now that the motor is buttoned up. I appreciate the help.

Check out this thread… post #6 is most relevant to your inquiry…

If your Toyota dealer does not show it as available, keep trying other dealers. Or try LexusPartsNow.Com.
Someone still has them…

Toyota part # PT347-60990-HK. That’s what I used on my 2002 LX.

Wow. You’re a lifesaver. I’ve been looking everywhere for this. Thanks so much.

Installed my White Knuckle Off Road sliders that I picked up during their Black Friday sale. For anyone that still has their AHC isntalled on their LX, be prepared for some work and some choice words when trying to bend all the AHC lines out of the way. Damn it took a long time to install these. Not nearly as easy as I thought this was going to be, but when is it ever?!?!? They look sick though. I purchased their straight out option with the full top plate.

Made some (IMO) pretty snazzy accessory mount panels that replace the seat belt mounts - for folks that have ditched their second or third row seating:

The 1st gen 100 series didn't have cargo net hooks in the trim panels. You have to add them if you want them. Every model has floor cargo net hooks.

FWIW, the suffix designates the color (available in the 1st gen models):
–A0 = Ivory, trim #0
–B0 = Stone, trim #1

...and the part number group you're looking for is "Inside Trim Board", not "Side Panel" (that one is for sheetmetal panels).
