Sprayed wd40 dry lube in the window track, no more noise! Didn't take much. Replaced glove box light oh joy

Working on upgrading the stock stereo/amp/speakers/sub. Its a slow process to find the right parts to make it look clean.

upgrading to LED low beam and fogs. I got 1 fog installed so far haha.

Replaced the blinker relay to work with the LED lights.

Tomorrow I'm dropping it off to get the super dark limo tint removed and replaced with something I can see through at night.

Added the steering wheel controls. These fit so snug in that space in the steering wheel. Soldered everything propper and works really well.

Which light are in you fog space? I’m getting the same bumper, but don’t like the factory ARB incandescents.
Xprite Jeep JK LED fog lights.

I went with ARB LED fog lights, happy with the outcome

They look great! Could you share a link?

Meanwhile, I found another rust issue!

The frame is most definitely a good ground. The frame and body both are grounded and part of the same system. They both go back to the battery.
Good to know. Curious where that ground path is. I don't recall a heavy gauge cable from the battery negative terminal to the frame, or any heavy gauge cable from body to frame. I'm pretty sure the engine mounts are isolated, I'm guessing the body mounts are isolated. There might be a ground path through other components that touch both the frame and body like the fuel system, steering system, brake system, and other electronics, just not sure I would want to run a lot of current without knowing that return current path, that's all.

Ooooooh! I like this a lot. Might be a nice addition to one of my older cars without the factory wheel controls. Also interested in the link.

Simple oil change but this time I'm trying the new Rotella Gas Truck 5w-30. After my last Blackstone report I'm looking for something a little tougher than whatever they were giving me at the Lexus service department so I'm hoping this will cut it. Also public service announcement the NAPA Gold replacement filter is about 1" shorter than the OEM Toyota filter. It probably doesn't make a difference but I decided to go with the Toyota one which is also much cheaper on Amazon than any dealer.

It's just these standard units, my delivery took a while longer than supposed too so just look for a local supplier (all over aliexpress and ebay). They work quite well, button push is a little (clicky) loud but happy with how they look with the steering wheel cover blocking most of the mounting plastic. I've seen the sides cut off and 3M taped as well on bigger steering wheels. The ACC red wire does indeed go to the red Ignition wire also (had me worried I had to resolder to cosntant 12V).

Is anybody familiar with the "claw" washer on the front brakes? The one in front of the outer bearing? I noticed mine has a valley worn in on both sides and I'm beside myself as to whether this is just normal wear to the claw washer or if the bearing is going out? Any thoughts?

Common. I just keep running them but I’m sure they only cost $5. Don’t worry

I ordered new claw washers for both sides and a snap ring from the dealer... it was super cheap, but wasn't sure if the wear is caused from bad bearings or just normal wear and tear.

Normal if serviced by a non-Toyota place over the years. Many people don’t torque the bearings correctly and wear Happens

20” Method MR 309 Grid 20x9 +18 Offset with 285/60r20 KO2’s. As a side note, I am keeping the stock wheels for hardcore wheeling. Haven’t deleted the mud flaps yet. The running boards will stay until I can get some sliders since my wife has short people problems. I was rubbing a couple of places but took the dremel and fixed that. I’ve got the 306 caps ordered for the front hubs.
