Hello, as the title says, tell me what you think of a 70 series bumper on front of a Pig. I need a bumper for the registration so I will remove the bush guard, and install the bumper closer to the body. Perhaps later a repro of the oem bumper.(Here it is impossible to source a Pig bumper.

Just my opinion: If it works for registration, then get it done. Then as soon as you have time and money, get rid of that chrome bumper! :) If it was me. I'd leave the grill guard on it and build a new bumper.

In my mind I thought it would not fit (about thre style), and when I tried, I was surprised that it was not too bad. Imagine grey repainted to fit with the grill repainted too.

What's wrong with a length of 4" C-channel iron?

I dont like the 4" channel Iron, too rough for me, not sure about the wideness when it is nearer the body, a sort of parallax illusion? Ill check .what is the size of OEM bumper?

Gray would be much better. Don't listen to those two. They like pushing boulders with thier wagons.

for a daily driver/mild trail pig, i think the chrome or stock bumpers are fine. i don't like gumbys because i think it's too short...it's pointless. pigheads is a perfect poor wheelers bumper. i don't like the smiley face one, but the one npulver posted (scottryans?) is the tits!!

in fact my plan is to make the Pig as beautifull as possible, probably not like Scrapdaddy, but more for daily drive (or sunday drive) thann hard wheeling. I was wondering if I cut the extentions who go to the rear what it would look like. Unfortunately, here, no way to source stock bumper which iwould be my first choice.
Ill post pictures when done.

NOT CONCERNED, These guys are from west, I live in East...

It was a 4+ bumper that stopped being made in 2004 I think. I bought the last one from Man-a-free in one of their "garage sales" It was well designed a little less well fabricated but definitely heavy duty, the uprights were 3/4" plate. It was a nice bumper.
