Stopped by Cane Creek’s open house / sale-a-bration while in the area. Turned a bit pricey when asking about coil fitment on a Smuggler. Cool experience being able to walk through the factory to grab the parts, building up the shock with correct bushings and coil, then doing a test fit in the employee bike repair area. 40% off for the open house doesn’t hurt either.

Dude hell yeah. When i ran coils on my bikes I always had to buy 3 to try and figure out the actual correct springrate because id never be at the right sag. Kinda why i went back to an air shock. Thats awesome you could do that at the source like that and walk away with only one spring

It definitely helped in the decision process. I’m always torn between air vs coil. I love the ramp up with small air cans but love the initial sensitivity of coils. I’ll spend some time tuning this then throw the factory Super Deluxe Select Plus back on for a back to back test.

Man I liked and still like coil better. I just had a kid and got fat so I was way past the optimal sag point and threw an air can back on if I’m getting completely honest 😂
